We worked in different departments at the same place. She had made a hand-written schedule of when I went to the coffee room and after a few weeks - she always was there at the same time. Eventually we both resigned due to an executive-caused disaster.
We met in middle school (junior high) through some other mutual neighborhood kids. We went our own ways and met again later in life. Her married with a small kid and myself divorced with a small kid. She got divorced a couple of years later and we decided to give marriage another shot. We just celebrated our 33rd anniversary.. She’s the love of my life and my love for her continues to grow everyday.
Lol pretty much tired of women at this point. I’ll tell you how I met my dog though, off a roadtrip camping trip to the beach with my buddies and we went to the shelter afterwards, took it home, took it with me to Starbucks and fed it marshmallows and a pupcup. Better than a soulmate baby lol.
My wife (of over 38 years) and I met in junior high school (at age 14) in alphabetical order. She sat behind me in Social Studies class. 6 years after high school, we were married. Now have 2 boys and 4 grandchildren. Good times!!!
I was at a bar that I frequented with my roommates and other pals, saw this girl standing in the corner and I had to ask her to dance. She was wearing a blue and white striped outfit and 3" platform shoes. She looked SO FUCKING HOT Been married for nearly 4 decades now
Nov 13, 2025 was exactly 50 years since I met my wife at Brennan's Pub in Playa del Rey, Los Angeles.. our 50th wedding anniversary will be in Feb, 2027..
no.. when we left LA, it was forever.. great place in 1950-1978.. just drive out on beaches.. hunt rabbits in dunes/wetlands.. horse drawn-carts of veggies from Lopez Ranch.. I could drive up to Santa Monica from Venice in 12-15 min, buy tickets for Dodgers, Kings, get home in 35 total min.. We could drive out to Rose Parade and camp on street.. no hassles.. traffic manageable.. Venice to LAX was 15-20 min ea way picking up someone.. Brother and I drove down to bury our Dad in 2014.. took over an hour to drive the 20 miles from Tarzana to Venice.. Then an hour to drive Santa Monica Pier (formerly 15 min).. Just a mess.. I'm glad people enjoy living down there..In 1950s thru 1970s pop grew 13 million to 21 million IN ALL OF CALIF.. now there's that many south of Bakersfield.. when it got crowded/expensive, we headed out to the REAL Northern CA .. Bay Area is Central CA.. we're up near OR border.. Weve lived in CA's fourth largest-area county for 35 years.. ALL OF YELLOWSTONE, YOSEMITE, GLACIER NPs could fit in our county.. yet only 40,000 people.. I-5 runs thru town/county.. metro areas totaling 460,000 are just 60-90 min away.. blackbirds or a bear eating a pie on window sill is front page news..
I Completely understand ! I enjoyed every visit to northern and southern Cal over the years but it's been years . I'm not interested in going back .
We met on campus in Meadville PA in October of 1968. It was love at first sight. From that moment on we were inseparable, though I was a Freshman in college and she was still in high school. After a few months we dropped out and moved to Boston where we got jobs, had an apt on Beacon Hill, dropped acid every Saturday night, and then decided to buy a van and move to CA. We were intercepted by my parents, my mother having me committed and tortured with electoshock while my true love was in SF waiting for me to show up as I'd said I would. Instead I was brain-damaged, couldn't find her when I got out, and she was abducted and taken into sex slavery for 2 1/2 years. I found her again in 2015. I've been here with her since then, dealing with her rampant psychosis due to the trauma she endured. That was the "hippy 60s" for us... now we're both the walking wounded trying to make our final years happy. Dealing with her is a struggle, but that is my dharma, and obligation, to make her happy until we move on to the next trip, hopefully together, hopefully with better results than the absolute disaster this lifetime has been for both of us. damn.. you deserve an uninterrupted finale.. there's places in Siskiyou County that are laid back, lower cost and just 30 minutes or less from xlnt health care/hospitals.. peace to you wherever you are
the beauty of the simple 'S-curve' cannot be overstated.. most men and some women are hard-wired to do more than simply observe it..
