I usually tend to sleep on my side I think, but I sleep in all kinds of positions - on my stomach, on my back, but I usually like to crowd the edge of the bed. I have this one position where I sleep on my back but my legs remain in a tree pose (for those who do yoga). When I really can't sleep at night, I get up and brush my teeth again to try and trick myself in preparing for bed. I turn the pillow over to feel the cooler side, and I'll even move my pillow to where my feet are to try and sleep the other way in the bed if I have trouble getting to sleep. I'm a very quiet sleeper, I'll kick you right in the shins if you pull the covers away from me in my sleep, and I'll put up a fuss if you try and talk to me when I'm asleep. Every time that I fall asleep on the ride home to my parents' place, I wake up when we turn down our street. Something familiar, either the smell or the motion of the regular turns in the car wakes me up and I know that we're home even before I open my eyes. I sleep like a rock, and a hurricane could pass through and I wouldn't really notice. I have serial dreams, continuations of dreams that I had days ago, months ago or years ago. My dreams are pretty Jung-like style with fragments that I retain when I wake up.
I can't sleep and cuddle at the same time. Impossible. And both my feet have to be outside the covers. No matter how cold. This thread is very moving to me in all it's intimate detail.
I actually don't like sleeping next to a very hot body. I find that men radiate heat and sometimes it's like sleeping with a hot water bottle. I can't sleep well pressed up against someone, but I really do enjoy spooning and a good comfortable cuddle before sleeping. I love wearing nightgowns to bed, long pants, short booty shorts, tanks, t-shirts or going naked.
In the summer, I wear boxers and a t-shirt or tanktop normally, I have a fan in each window in my room, so I'm used to the hum of them (and the hum totally drowns out any noise from a vibrator...hahahaha, sweeeet). In the winter, the only thing that's different is I wear pajama pants and a lot of times a long sleeved shirt. I don't normally sleep in my bra. It drives me crazy to wake up and the house be silent or dark because I've gotten so used to being on a completely opposite sleep pattern with Daniel that it really bugs me when he doesn't fall asleep with the TV on, lol. I sleep in the fetal position or on my back usually. I sleep alone because it's too damned hot to share a bed right now and Daniel prefers the futon in the living room anyway. I usually smoke a bowl (well, not the whole thing by myself, lol) before bed. I wake up normally once or twice in the night and smoke a little more, then go back to sleep. When I have to work, I normally try to go to bed between 11 PM and midnight and get up at 8:15 AM, and on weekends, I go to sleep when I'm tired and get up usually around 10:30. I don't remember my dreams usually, either. So...that's about it.
I hate sleeping next to someone. I wear pj pants all year long with a tank top in the summer and a long sleeve shirt in the winter. I never stay in the same position due to old injury pain. I hate having my hair wet and will go without sleep until it dries. Ummm I have to have the tv on for noise because I can't sleep when it's too quiet.
Oh, I bleed. I just have never had menstrual cramps. Meh. Is that like, hard to understand or believe?? Hee hee.
I sleep on fetal position too, resting on my right side. I always need a blanket or a sheet, no matter how hot it is. Sometimes it's hard for me to go to sleep, and I toss and turn a lot. I get out of bed and usually take some antihistamine to help me sleep. I always sleep better when John goes to sleep at the same time as me, Sakura also sleeps in the bed with us and has finally learned that is not cool to wake us up at 5am. What I wear to sleep varies a lot, it depends on the weather or how cold the AC is on. It can go from just undies, to undies and a tshirt, tshirt and shoes, to tshirt and pajama pants. If it's cold enough outside I like to sleep with the windows open and I always always have dreams and usully remember some of them, even if they dont make sense. I also wake up very very easily,
i toss about from stomach to both sides to back. i sleep in boxers most of the time, unless it is uncomfortably hot and i'm forced to go naked. i'm not too picky about noise; it can be silent or there can be noise, white or otherwise, as long as it isn't obnoxiously loud. my sleep schedule changes all the time. at the moment, i'm going to sleep between 2 and 3 most nights and waking up at 9 most mornings, going to bed early or sleeping in occasionally to catch up on sleep, since i need about 9 hours a night to feel refreshed. this kind of schedule never lasts long, because my body can't handle 6-7 hours a night for a very long period without serious consequences, which have already started. i have a wide variety of dreams, and i forget most of them very quickly, so i'm not going to bother describing that aspect...
I have been known to fall asleep almost anywhere. Hell I once woke up while camping with 3 inches of snow on me and no the alcohol had absolutely nothing to do with it.
i sleep naked most of the time. i usually try to read some before turning off the desk light i have. i use the TV sleeper timer, so when i do fall asleep, the tv will shut off - i need some noise to sleep to, but i'm a light sleeper (noise and light from the tv) will wake me up during the night. usually, i sleep on my sides...i'll toss and turn from side to side.
It's okay. I assume that I'm going to have terrible pains giving birth or something. Karma will catch up with me.
My aunt never had cramps and felt no pain when giving birth to her three children. She didn't have any drugs and they had to tell her when to push. So unless you're a total bitch I'm sure you'll be one of the lucky ones.
