How insane will this midterm election be?

There is a television preacher who is a Trump supporter who is saying The Christian Religion will be enforced on the rest of America if Trump wins again, and if Republicans win in midterms.

 

But which Christian religion? Catholic or Protestant? And if it's Protestant, which denomination? There are many of them!

A lot of MAGAs want an end to separation of church and state, but if that happens, which church will be running things?

 

Not to worry; the Taliban will sort that out for you.

Just watched Real Time with Bill Maher and he's really pessimistic about the election. He points out how the polls have shifted toward the GOP and gives the Dems little chance of coming out of it on top. He finished by telling us we must prepare to say goodbye to Democracy as we'll soon end up with an authoritarian government.

I'm more optimistic but still I know we're in trouble. Perhaps talking like that is Maher's attempt at a hail mary pass, he's trying to rile people up so they go out and vote blue. I don't know. But I already voted and all that shit he had to say has left me feeling really discouraged.

The latest poll numbers indicate that democrats hold a 2-1 margin in early voting, so don't get down If the same day votes which get counted first lean heavily on the republican side.

 

Tomorrow I'm going to try to cut myself off from it all. I'll read books, watch DVDs, whatever. I'll learn how the election went on Wednesday.
