Some of the final election results are taking forever to be counted and it will be a while before we know them all. Not to mention we won't know the winner of Walker-Warnock until next month's runoff. Let's keep track of it and keep posting the results.
Katie Hobbs beat Kari Lake in the Arizona Governor's race! The bad news is the GOP has picked up 3 more seats in the House, so it's now 214 to 204. At this point the best we can hope for is they will have a very small majority. Still it means Kevin McCarthy will be Speaker of the House.
And so the cries of election fraud begin... Kari Lake’s Loss Causes MAGA Media Meltdown – Rolling Stone
A week after the election and there are still 11 House races undecided. The GOP is ahead 217-207 at this point so they're one seat away from a majority. Thus the midterm won't be a total loss for them.
The GOP has taken control of the House, leading 218-208. Hope we can win the bulk of the remaining seats. And I hope we can retire this thread soon.
Dammit! Colorado election results: Boebert opponent Frisch concedes race ahead of likely recount | Fox News The Axis of Idiots is still intact!
CNN has this site tracking the midterm results. Two fucking weeks after the election there are still four House races undetermined plus the race for Governor of Alaska. And they've received no updates on the vote counts since Friday or Saturday!! WTF is going on?! Why can't they just get the goddamn votes counted already? Just one more House race left, California's 13th District. Should be called within a day or two. I hope this means we've heard the last from Sarah Palin, but I doubt it.
The House races are finally over, 4 weeks later. In California's 13th, Democratic state Assemblyman Adam Gray conceded the race to Republican business owner John Duarte, giving the GOP a 222-213 majority. Not the red wave blowout they wanted but it still sucks. And tomorrow we find out the results of the Georgia runoff.
Yes, Raphael Warnock has narrowly beaten Herschel Walker and been re-elected to the Senate. The Dems get the Senate while the GOP gets the House. So to recap, how insane was this midterm election? Pretty crazy for sure, but considerably saner than we feared it might be. No riots, no fighting in the streets. A few weak claims of election fraud widely ignored. Trump got trounced and his new Presidential campaign is a joke. Today an incumbent beat a challenge from a goofy retired football player. I can only hope it's a trend toward national sanity.
