Shit, does literally EVERYONE buy into the whole sex as a commodity deal? It seems like most people in the States have sex strictly for the pleasure, not for the happiness it can bring. I mean it's a completely personal choice I suppose, so I am in no way hating on those who have sex (especially with random people) just for pleasure, but I'll just share my thoughts.

I'm in no way one of those "wait until you get married" types or even close to that, shit I don't even really believe "marriage" is entirely necessary (tax breaks etc...yes). I just feel that when I have sex with a girl it's an "Act of affection that puts my love in to motion"....(I tend to use that Wailing Souls quote a lot...it really means something to me). I mean it's not like people are acting on instinct when they have sex (majority of the time), otherwise they wouldn't have protected sex, use birth control and all that, because our instinct to have sex is derived from our need to survive (like all instincts) and continue the existence of our species.

I don't know, maybe I'm just one of those "hopeless romantics" they talk about, hopeless because in our society today sex is sold like any other commodity, and if you don't in even the slightest bit buy in to it then it's "your loss". This thread is about how long it's been since you've had sex though, so I'll just shut up before someone claims I'm getting all preachy and shit.

Myself, I haven't had sex since December and it wasn't the meaningful sex I wished it was. Rather than making me feel better (I guess it did temporarily) it's made me feel worse about my situation, because I shared something that literally converts love into an action with someone I didn't truly love.

Meh, I don't like to think of it that way, but that comment made me laugh. That's why I used the term "hopeless romantic" in my first post, because people would view it as though I am doing that. Maybe it is a hopeless perspective, but it's just the way I view sex and I don't see it changing anytime soon.....

So yea, I'm undersexed, but I guess I choose to live this way because of the way I've chosen to view sex. If there's is someone I really love and am in a relationship with then I become oversexed, so I guess my sex life is like a ying yang.
