Maybe it's not hhb. I don't know. It breaks my heart though. Everybody is just defensive, lacking trust, trying to protect themselves. All the pain we inflict on each other stems from that.
we need to be responsible for our actions for the sole reason of what is real freedom, otherwise someone else will and they will limit our freedoms
one things for sure, whats coming WILL change society as we know it. what the end result will be is anyones guess.. if whats going on now breaks your heart,i suggest you buck up or go ahead and end it now cause you aint seen nothin yet..
Oh I'm braced for it. I know at least some of what's coming. My challenge is to get some healthy distance from it, some detachment, or else it WILL be too much to handle. I *think* I'm emotionally prepared for it. One of the biggest keys to survival is keeping your cool and not losing it emotionally when the shit hits the fan. Alot of people aren't prepared like that. They've chosen blindness and will feel like the rug is pulled out from under them.
a lot of people are choosing suicide over dealing with it and we as a nation havent even began the real suffering. The Financial Crisis Is Driving Hordes of Americans to Suicide
same. I don't like taxing, but on things like cigs it's kind of a good thing...or at least better than on things we NEED. It's your choice to buy them.
link is broken btw Yeah I've no doubt many will choose that path. We have some friends who get very uncomfortable when we talk about all this stuff. It's like they want to put their fingers in their ears and go "lalalalala". The most I got out of them once is "we'll just kill ourselves if that happens". Well, what can I say? My little family, at least, will do the best we can to prepare and survive. I'm definitely not expecting much, that's for sure. I've made my peace with death.
thanks,,fixed it.. heres the link if your interested. http://www.alternet.org/story/123563/ i cant deal with people who have that attitude, thankfully both of us are fighters and will live till we die..
Interesting article, thanks. I'll show Crypto when he gets home. I think it helps to be flexible, adapt to the environment and circumstances. I don't mind living in a mud hut if I have to... and I may have to.
we have found that the further back in time we step as far as a lifestyle, the happier we are.. although i must admit winter with no internet will be hella boring but we will adjust when it happens.. other than that, there really isnt much else that we stand to lose. we already live circa 1898..
yeah you guys rock! hopefully we'll get there too, at least we're trying. (oh and there's always sex for those long wintry days)
I smoke. I've mentioned it before, but I get bags of "rollies" from the native reserve nearby... 200 cigs for $8. My mother says they smell "skanky." Otherwise, I buy Canadian Lights out there for 15 bucks a carton. They're kind of nice.
yeah, you know, i need incentive to quit smoking - here it is. i need incentive to ride my bike and use public transportation - gas prices rise. why else would they do this? think about the real cost of tobacco, the cost of taking care of people who have destroyed their throats and lungs... that's why things need to change. that's just how i see it. *goes out for a cig*
If you believe that shit BS that we are only animals and our only job on earth is to have kids, then you would probably believe battle of the fittest, right? Fuck the sick? Their genes probably aren't good enough to make it into the next generation? Where's your Darwinian award?
My most favorite person on the HF I believe natural selection still happens, even when providing poor people with their basic needs.
Name one thing that every human body is born equipped for that is a universal 'job' Exactly. Your dumb.
