I just scanned the bases for new activity and I have 35 right now.....

 

Just this one, but that will soon change.

 

two. and seldom more then three, and frequently only one.
no point in trying to keep track of more then that that i'm aware of. just because you can, doesn't mean you gain anything by doing so.

right now two is what my browser default opens with, and the only thing in the second tab is the browser's default support page.
which i'll close if my bit rate falls too low.

 

Usually, as a General rule, I have:-
1. Google
2. U-Tube
and whatever I am using the PC for i.e.
3. HIP

It's time to ask not "how many tabs" but rather "how many browsers". Pandemic-level multitasking

I just scanned for new activity since my last visit and I have 39 open....

 

just the one. seldom more then three. just seriously not into clutter.
and that's only in the browser that i use tabs at all.
off line i might have my music playing while building in blender or running one of the train sims.
but that's as close as i come to having tabs open.
very rarely i'll have open office word mangler open at the same time, or call up the calculator, but i don't leave the latter open when not using it.
oh i'll open the clock and calander occsasionally to get a feel for where i am in timespace, but i don't leave those open either.

the things i do, making the animations and the model work in them, take up too much mem and cpu to be really practical to have anything else going on at the same time,
or much of anything else anyway. maybe the music in parallel, but that's about it.

while an animation is rendering i might do something else, as they can take several hours to complete, something that isn't too resource greedy, like bahn or majong.
but still we're talking about no more then two concurrent top level processing streams going on at the same time.
