they can double tax businesses too. they can tax ur business and then tax your personal income because they are 2 different things .. fill out irs f2553 to elect s-corp tax treatment for LLCs but dont expect any help from the irs filling that out .. theyll tell u nothing about f2553

I think it's 7%. I buy groceries from the commisary. They're suppose to be tax exempt, however they add on fees for almost everything. Sometimes, I think I pay more in fees than I would if I were being taxed 7%.

The tipping thing in the US is pretty annoying you are really just paying half the labour charge on top of the bill so 20% plus the sales tax, so really in a way 24% +.. So anytime its going somewhere wher a tip is expected its like fucking what???

sprog I know you are from Canada, but whether its canada or US that REAL retail rate would be more inline with that 19% you are gawking at, probably more, count up all the hidden taxes along the way before the sales tax on the receipt and you are probably paying more than Bavaria, i.e its not really 10 - 15% more sales tax if its 10% cheaper than where you are in the first place.

The UK does seem to be the one that sticks out compared to all our countries, US, Canada, Aus. UK does seem to be taxed to the hilt, what they have to pay for gas over there jeezus - which will also be included in the price of everything as there is always a transportation component

nevada used to have something like less then 2%, because the casino taxes were able to pay for almost everything. that was when california still had to come up her to gambol because it wasn't legal there.

i know its a lot higher then that now, though i don't right off had know what it is. i THINK its still less then california, but i haven't actually checked. so it could be anything.

the tip thing, tradition, is because employers where tipping is expected, have never paid a fair and honest wage themselves and have always expected their customers, in proportion to their satisfaction, to make up the difference.

one more reason to pay living wage instead.
