i only eat fresh food, and where i live organic is insanely expensive...well, everything is. i'm growing my own lettuce in a container and that saves me about $5 a week or so. wish i had room for a garden.

what we spend fluctuates depending on my sons eating habits that week, he can sit down and eat $50 of groceries as a snack and he is only 4.................

I don't spend more than $150 at the most, and I only go every other week!!!!!!! I am a complete genius when it comes to being cheap, I learned from my dad!!!!!!

Family of five, around $125.00 a week. That's with nearly all meals made from scratch.

It really depends. I'd say anywhere from $20 on a cheap week to $60 on a week we splurge.

Encluding cleaning supplies, bathroom tissue, kleenex and washing as in soap. javex, softeners and doggie kibble. I spend for 4 of us about 300 a week. Sometimes more.

That does not include shampoo and those kind of things......probabaly at least 100 more.

When I budget myself out I do 800 a week and that is all inclusive......I do not hit my account usually.

My house is paid for....so that is insurance and all taxes and what we live on.

you got that right...i try to buy local as much as possible...carting food all around the planet and stoking it with preservatives to keep it 'fresh' makes no sense to me at all. then on top of that, the whole system depends on ripping off poor people who are virtually slaves. and what is up with all this elaborate packaging? non-recyclable in many cases. makes me crazy! geezuz!

I spend 100-150 on food... if I spend between 120-150 it lasts 2 weeks. I feed 5 people and cook every meal. I don't buy junk food, I bake it if needed. Its cheaper to buy in bulk... I love making pancakes or some other kind of food in the morning instead of just pouring everyone cereal. I went to school for cooking/baking so I learned alot about how much to use for portions, storage and cutting costs. I have to say that REALLY helped. I got lucky too, my kids love fruit and veggies... we love going to the farmer's market.

I spend like, $12.00 a week on milk for my son.
Other than that he eats what I eat.
But Im paying my friend $100.00 a week to stay at his place, so the food he buys comes from that.
So, maybe like, $40.00 a week?

for the 2 of us it is about $50-$100 depending on if any one comes over for dinner. But usually it is about $50. It also depends on the store that I go to.

We spend about 10-15 dollars a week for 2 of us. We try to live as cheap as possible. I try to buy stuff that's good for us, but every once in a while, dh manages to sneak some junk in there. Lol!

Nope. Well, we so sometimes eat oatmeal for breakfast.:) But we have a veggie garden, which we eat out of quite a bit in the summer, and a friend of ours cans some of the stuff we grow to eat in the winter. Usually we buy bread, cheese, milk, butter, crackers, and turkey. We do have kind of a help, because my dh works at a turkey plant, so we get a HUGE discount on that. Occasionally our groceries can get up to 20-25 dollars, if dh is doing the grocery shopping, because he buys a lot more "junk food". I just can't imagine spending almost $200/week on food!

I'm a really picky eater. I have no idea why I don't ever end up spending a lot on food. I eat a lot for a girl too, kinda sorta, sometimes. I really think it's that I don't buy processed food and don't eat meat because I eat all organic so it makes no sense really.
