yeah thats texas, like i said i would never have the need to stiff someone in florida and would feel like a complete asshole but go to somewhre like dc or new york for two weeks and i bet you would be so fucking pissed about all the bad experiences you would be busting out some kung fu
I took my husband out for a dinner once that cost $150 and the waitress would NOT look at me..... when she would ask me a question, she would look right at my husband.... the whole two hours we were there. It might sound like nothing but it was ruder then it seems..... if she would have known I was the one paying. I left her a dollar tip.
I saw a pretty epic fight today at the student center here. Two black guys got at it over this over girl, and one of them had brass knuckles, tried to punch the other guy, but he blocked it with the chair... and the guy with the brass knuckles broke his hand. Some black girls started throwing mustard at him then, because he started all the shit. It was hilarious.
Lode you look like my friend Nepote, that's wierd, and the other day you posted you knew me and I thought It was him because I had'nt seen him for a bit but anyway I never tip I don't believe in it, I go to a restaurant to pay for a meal, not somebody's wages, they should pay waiters/waitresses better instead of making it unwritten law to tip.
At places I frequent or if I know the person serving TONS. I started tipping this server that my girlfriend and I like at our regular place like 30 to 40% sometimes and now she never charges for drinks, so we'll have like 4 good mixed drinks each and lunch, and it will be like 18 dollars, then I tip like 15....and though that we made friends with her and started hanging out sometimes generally 20 is what I tip, at bars a dollar for drinks, 50 cents for beer
But...ergh.... ehh.... ya know... I might not believe in gravity, but I still kinda have to deal with it for the sake of my sanity. Same thing with tipping. You might not believe in it, but it's there, and you not tipping isn't going to change it... and them waitreses probably do need the money... because they're getting paid shitty, believe in it or not, and you can always spare the 5$.
I agree with Rubin. If you're not tipping you're just shiting on someone because of your principles. Why not send letters to enact wage laws instead of screwing someone out of how they pay to take care of themselves for a living.
i've never had really bad service. normally i tip 20-25 percent for meals, and 75 cents to a dollar per drink or about 40 percent if i have a tab at bars. except at my usual bar where they charge me for 3 or 4 drinks for a whole night of drinking; there i tip close to 100%
ever eaten at a mid range restaurant in the UK? you'll wish they had to actually be a good server to get paid decently, it sucks in the worst way...sometimes they don't even come over to you at all
usually 10% unless its really good or really bad, then more and less respectively my bf isnt used to tipping in most places, save for sit down restaurants where they bring the meal to you, etc. not in coffee shops or anything like that. im slowly training him. i had a really horrible waitress the other day who was just a nasty ass bitch (and it was damn near empty too, so she ought to have been nice to scrape out some tip money. anyway, she got a pity tip for being such a skanky bitch in a dead restaurant. if i ever get her again shes getting zip if she acts the same way
I sure hope cogliostro does not go to the same restaurant twice, god knows how many boogers/pubes he may have eaten, and how much piss he has drank
i tip my barber the most out of anyone i tip to. he gets damn close to 100% of what i paid for a haircut
