How much is a dime?

Theres no actual set definition of a dime. Normally its either a gram of weed, or $10 worth of weed. When the term was first made up, probably back in the early 1900's, it was exactly what it says, a dimes worth of weed. I've probably bought less than a dozen dime bags ever. And I havent bought one in more than 3 years. I remember when I first started smoking I only bought dimes, but I soon was enlightened on why its smarter to buy in bulk. First off, the BEST weed is normally sold by the ounce, while dime bags are usually shwag to mids, but not always. Also when you buy in bulk, the cost per gram is MUCH less. For example, when you buy a dime bag, thats $10 per gram. But when you buy an ounce (which lets say cost you about $100-$125) thats less than $5 a gram. Also, when you buy in ounces you don't have to get weed as much. And plus its a good feeling to smoke a huge bowl, and still have allot in your stash.

 

10$ worth of weed. whatever the dealer wants. i've copped bud all over the country and a dime's always been 10$ worth.

I don't remember exactly what was said but I agree with snyfin. A dime is $10 worth!!!! Gosh. Just buy in regular weights and you'll be fine. Get 1/8... That way you KNOW how much you are getting and you can tell if it's a good price for the amount.

A dime =$10 hence the name "dime" duhhh..What varies is not the $money but the amount of grams depending on how good the bud or how shitty the dealer is ...some dimes are .2 grams some are .5 some 1 ..mine are 2 to 2.5 grms depending on how good of regs i got..Hit me up I'm in FL.

 

I used to weigh my $10 schwagg dime bags out at 1.7-1.8grams which is half of 3.5grams which is an 1/8th of an Oz which is half a quarter Oz which is 7grams.

 

You know back in the 60's, we used to smoke this shit on the street. Cops didn't say nothin', Hell, they were gettin' high to; everybody was good. It wasn't the thing to do because it was the thing to do, ya know. It was the thing to do because it got you high. Can you dig it?

 

sheesh what a dick. schwag was $10 for 3.5g back when it used to be available. and that was when I was a little guy just starting to smoke. I havent seen schwag in so long. I'm not sure if it's been replaced or if its strictly sold to middleschoolers/freshman and no one else. There are kids around here who refer to a dime as an 8th. because thats what everyone started out on, schwag. dime = 8th. so i guess it just sticks for some people and they refer to all 8ths as dimes.

 

Different parts of the world and/or country have different prices for shit, Enstein. An 8th is not a dime bag. Kids these days always fucking shit up.

An 1/8th of anything is 3.5grams, and a dime bag would/should be half that (or close to half).
