Not true. I'm always sleepy and generally a low energy type of person. If I slept when I was sleepy, I'd always be asleep, and surely that's not healthy

Um, no it isn't lol, especially considering Ritalin does have medicinal purposes. Adderall would be more like it, but even still that is a long stretch from meth.

Decent, pretty decent. I don't drink caffeine or consume large amounts of refined sugars. I eat a ton of fruit and raw green veggies, but i think I eat too much simple carbs and thats why Im sleepy. I am a bread-aholic for sure. But I've always been sleepy eyed since childhood, always a napper, never stopped haha.

I eat alot of carbs too. All the dough does tend to slow me down.

Iv'e never had one of these but I heard rinking one is comparable to being high on meth:

Honestly, the best way to stay awake and not diminish your high (like caffeine will) is just mental effort. Just stop giving in. Stop being a baby. Get high, and go for a long walk with an mp3 player. You don't need more chemicals, you just need some willpower.

i'm not going to argue that ritalin is anywhere close in its effect (qualitatively) to that of methamphetamine, but clinically it isnt all that different. methamphetamine is simply a particular amphetamine. levoamphetamine and dextroamphetamine (the active constituents of adderall) are other amphetamines.

methylphenidate, the active ingredient in ritalin, concerta, metidate (sp?) and others, is not an amphetamine. however it is an amphetamine-like drug with EXTREMELY similar effects to amphetamines in general.

furthermore methamphetamine is a schedule II substance, and is a legally prescribed drug most often used in severe cases of ADHD. it is sold, for instance, under the name Desoxyn in the united states. while usually regarded as a "last resort," it is in the same scheduling category as dextro- and levoamphetamine, and the same category as methylphenidate. methamphetamine in the form of desoxyn pills is no more illegal than adderal is.

the main reasons methamphetamine addiction is such a problem is in the routes of administration in meth users. insufflating (snorting) or smoking the drug is going to result in much more immediate and profound results in the user. further, dose is unknown and unregulated, and users feel at liberty to increase the dosage. it only gets worse when we bring up the methamphetamine users who may choose injection as their favored method.

its true that people can and do snort adderalls and ritalins, but the fact that it comes in pill form makes insufflation a less desirable route, unless one uses only smaller doses (one pill's worth, for instance) or is a reckless/hardened drug user. although low quality methamphetamine is notorious for impurities, it is still more concentrated than the amphetamines that come in pills. though they can be snorted, it will not work as well as if they had a more concentrated form of the amphetamines. if such a thing were available, and it were also smokable, which a pill is not, you'd see the same addiction patterns in these amphetamines as you would with methamphetamine.

simply because these drugs are prescribed more often doesnt mean they're much safer. just like the fact that oxycodone or morphine are legal doesnt make heroin a more dangerous opioid than these.

its primarily how the drugs are taken. taking a small dose of methamphetamine orally would only be somewhat different from other amphetamines in comparable dosages....i don't think it would be devastatingly stronger.
