There is no "reason" why his mind is in that body, just like there is no "reason" for a freckle on his big toe. And do you really think that "mind" is something that is dabbed onto bodies as an afterthought, like a coat of paint? I think it's more of an emergent phenomenon caused by the biochemical complexity of the system, or another elegant proposal i've heard, that the brain is more akin to a receiving device than a transmitter, and is simply a node for the all-pervasive consciousness field which permeates the universe. It congeals in our cranium as it were. I guess you should examine why you think "growths on his face" can be spoken about logically but not "mind". Look into how you are dividing your world up, how you have been taught to divide the world up into the profane and the sacred.
then was i talking about something along the lines of past lives and karma and darma and the other religous mumbo jumbo?...because isnt that just basically science?
Once i seen the Biochemical diversity i immediatly thought it was a reference to science...I dont believe in science with Natueral Human Phenomenoms such as that.....I have a belief he was punished.....
is "science" something that must be brought in from the outside into a conversation artificially, opened up, turned on, waited on to boot, and then utilized in an awkward and alienating manner? it is simply a way of looking at the world in an inquisitive, careful, methodical way, something available to you in a laboratory looking through a microscope or in bed looking into your lover's eyes. It is giving the totality of reality the credit it deserves and understanding that the universe is such that you are in a position to trick yourself readily, or be otherwise deceived by levels of meaning and detail. but science is exactly what allows us to discuss natural human phenomena. and natural human phenomena are exactly what much of science is aimed at (biology, sociology, psychology, ecology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, economics, politics . . . these are all areas of inquiry aimed at answering our deepest and most fundamental curiosities). I think you have a misconception about science because of skewed media portrayal or because you hated your grade 10 chemistry class (whatever). If you really understood what science was and how it works you wouldn't see a divide between what looks like an amorphous, squishy, circular, liquid expression of one of the most wordless experiences that can exist, and science at it's most fundamental level. Science is just honesty.
science is honesty, but science is also limited but that isn't saying much, b/c WTF is a soul anyways
I would zoom out even more, consistency is a subset of what science is; science is to always weild the awesome might of the ? instead of being satisfied by the first (or trillionth) . that shows up
Ahh i see man...That was well put out...I greatly respect the amount of information you put into that....It cleared things up...In 10th grade i began my experimentation with pot, soon afterwards iam writing on a computer...Wow Lol I was trying to find the video for the Doctor Sparkles ukalele and this is what i found..So Great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lii5BDdASos
I've always wanted to come back as a crow. there pretty smart. they rashoinalize how to make cars kill their food!hahaa
I agree. Simply a practical statement going forward saying that science confronts always the antithetical tension of superstition and this moments revelation becomes the next moments prejudice if the spirit of science is not consistently applied. Some of the most well practiced scientists withhold from scrutiny areas of their own participation life such as their own emotional states. Science is a jealous God and at the risk of being discovered, honesty becomes a chore.
