Hunting - What do you think?

tbh, the life of a cow (or any other animal that i eat) before death generally doesn't bother me much, if at all

 

i strongly dislike hunting for fun - well people who hunt for fun, cause i obviously don't, but i don't hunt to feed myself either, which obviously most people wouldn't either, but if they did, i wouldn't mind, but i couldn't help telling them that eating meat is unnecessary.

 

my grandpa poached because otherwise he wouldn't be able to feed his family.

it's not my right to say any word against hunting for food, and I don't plan on it.

also not my right to complain about poaching for food.

 

Humans have to eat to survive, in order for us to eat something must give its life. One way or the other something must die so we all can eat be it a cow, chicken, fish deer, elk, moose and many other living things. What I don't get is someone saying it is cruel to kill and animal to eat yet they will gladly cut the top of a plant or rip it out of the ground to eat. The plant also grows, breaths, propagates everything a animal does except move around this earth. Have you not seen a plant bleed when its cut. I know you've seen the beauty in a plant just as you've seen the beauty in an animal. To me the people who are cruel are the ones who are not thankful for the life that was given so they could live be it plant or animal.

Oh yeah I use to hunt a lot and I may again some day.

 

No, I don't hunt, nor do I eat meat. Well I eat seafood...I would not be able to kill it myself. I am a hypocryte that loves sushi and crab and lobster.

i'm not THAT good anymore. i eat chicken. or a good, naturally raised and directly purchased cow. like, from the farmer, "i want THAT one," and he walks over an kills it kinda cow. it's been a while.

we're also not averse to splitting a pig or cow from the 4H or FFA kids. it just has to be properly done and not mass produced. mass production is HORRIFIC for the environment and the arteries.

 

:cheers2: that's awesome. because feeding the family is first. but no ones family gets fed if some asshole is just out there poaching for a trophy. there should be an open season on those fuckers. over hunting and destroying the environment is NOT conducive to being a true hunter.

 

mmmk... well here's the scoop...
i've shot 4 deer and 3 elk... i hunt my dad hunts my sisters hunt my grandpas and uncles hunt.... we don't hunt souly because we like to shoot shit... we do it for food. and we share the meat with other members of our family. so yes i enjoy hunting. and i hunt when i have the time and need the meat.

It is only unnecessary if you believe civilization, as we know it, will never collapse. Specialization in food sources is one of the most major factors in extinction of species, current and dating back to even the first known life forms of Earth. If people care about how to survive in the long run, they should be figuring out how to eat more things.

 

plants tend to last longer than animals, if that's what you're worried about.
