If I could set up camp at my central Library, I would be one happy nerd. I could sit for hours poring over books.. I like talking to professors, but alot of them let their heads get too big. My favorite teacher of all time.. English Lit professor, so cool, she could get enyone exited about chaucer. I rather grew to like him because of her. I love learning.. my best friend and I get stoned an sit for hours and talk about everything. religion, politics, the future of the earth, the cosmos, diferent dimentions, the afterlife.. I wish I had more nerdy friends.. then I could be my TRUE self..

Thats true.
My anatomy professor is a neurologist. And he seems very smart and very know it all.
But if you ask him anything that isnt connected with cranial or spinal nerves, he gets all confused.
But I understand that. You cant know everything. But you can be damn good in a certain area.

Totally!!! I make it a weekly ritual to go to thrift stores and half price and 1/4 price books and browse.. I love old books and their smell.. I dont think Ive bought a new bok for myself in about a year..
Im so happy, I went to a thrift store yesterday and found one of my favorite childrens book..For .25 cents!!! Im reading it again!!! yay!!!

Alright, now I'll talk about why cell phone radiation can't cause cancer.

Cell phones, along with laptops, and radios, emit small amounts of energy. In cell phones this energy is called radio frequency (RF) energy. This energy can also be called electromagnetic radiation. It's measured in hertz, which is a measure of how many cycles per second. It could also be applied to any cyclical event, such as th tick of the heart. Your heart beats at about 1.2 hertz.

*Atypical events like radioactive decay are measured with a different source.

This is all important because of the spectrum of the radiation being released. Radiation wich has a high enough frequency, which would make it smaller, to hit cells and ionize them, which means hit the cells and remove an electron. This causes the cancers associated with radiation.

So therefore we have radiation divided into two groups, non ionizing radiation, and ionizing radiation.

The radiation emited by a cell phone is too low in frequency, ot to put it another way, is too large to hit a cell in a body and vibrate it enough to ionize it to take away an electron, thus causing negative health problems.

Ya I hear ya. The trouble is that I have so little time to actually enjoy learning. Most of it is spent at a feverish pace trying to squeeze that last half percent out of the words I'm reading or writting.

I don't know about college professors, cause I've never been to college, but university professors kick ass ... well most of them. I have one in particular right now that spends wednesday in a coffee shop so that he can interact with students. If you want to talk about class material, he'll talk about class material, if you want to talk about the similarities of barack obama's use of affect and ronald regans use of affect, he'll talk about that. Hell if you want to know the underlying gay themes of buffy the vampire slayer, he'll tell you those. He and I have some intense discussions because we're politically aligned but very differently motivated. Its fun.
