I'm a philosophy junkie. The piece of paper that they're going to give to me will say that I have an emphasis in applied ethics. I suppose its accurate, but my interest and where I'll head next will probably lay in structures of power and discourse.

 

Okay. Sounds rather interesting.

 

I'm SO the same way! I'm the biggest nerd ever! I watch documentaries for fun! I read nonfiction! I watch the History Channel!

Want to know my fantasy? (Holy crap, for once I have a fantasy that isn't totally disgusting!) I wish I could travel all over the world for the rest of my life, just visiting scientists. I would spend a month on an archaeological dig in South America, and a month studying gorillas in Africa, and a month hanging out in that big Hadron collider under France...that would be HEAVEN for me.

 

It is, but it is also super fucking boring. If I could start again I'd do something more organic. Biology, or chemistry. Even fricken math.

Well, yeah..Its okay.
I took biology and it was rather interesting. But mainly genetics and DNA stuff.

 

Either that or I could just become a farmer.

I'd feel incomplete if I were to abandon my love now. There is too much of me invested. I can't go back.

 

How old are you anyway ?

 

Well any science is inevitably going to be fun. There are so many interesting sub fields.

Whats wrong with math? Its such a challenge, and like in no other discipline are the flashes of brilliance more pronounced. Those eureka moments kick ass in math much more than in philosophy.

 

About 76. Sometimes I feel a year or two younger, and I've aged gracefully if I do say so myself. Most people don't believe me when I tell them I was around for the war.

I suck at math so....
But I really admire people who understand it...

 

in the absense of a multiplier button use the star one, or even x. While I'm content to turn my head to the side for a second to understand that equation, I'm not so sure everyone else is.

 

Binary, or base 2, mathematics is universal, because most aliens probably don't have ten fingers.
