This is what it said in our progess reports today with a news letter... A Chirstmas Coffee House Drama and Music Featuring Three One Act Plays: Christmas Revelation Too many christmas Carols Charlie Brown Christmas Music: Fort High Jazz Band Student Compositions then it goes on to talk about when, where and that sort of thing, like the bake sale.... I am less mad at his now, but it still gets to me that this is froma public school, i kind of want to try out with the dredal song or something like that, but im sure the somgs are more winter songs like "Let It Snow", but im not sure...
Yes, I am sure Canada has some form of seperation of Church and State. I am especially surprised that that is happening in a public school in CANADA
It would be neat if someone could do Adam Sandler's happy Hannukah song. Or Monty Python's " Christmas in Heaven." Or for a more controversial song, Spinal Tap's "Christmas with the devil." Of course all three of these songs are meant tongue in cheek.
.....or dress yourself in a tight devil's costume (Jon Lovitz-style, of course) and hum Sympathy for the Devil. And don't forget to scare the 'normals.'
I have found that calling the devil to come out of hiding and face me works well to scare certain folk. You could write out a very detailed challenge to the ol demon wherein you call him a coward, chicken, loser, baby demon, fake, etc. It often causes wide eyes and warnings of certain doom.
To show ppl. (or Satan) that you have gusto & that you're not afraid of anything. But most of the time it's just a defense mechanism.
scaring ppl does not hide your own fears. why cause the same thing to another person that ure trapped by ureself(fear i mena)
i'm very interested in what you've posted arlia. Im not sure if i agree...but respect to you! I've been thinking about it tho...excellent post..nice to see passion in the threads ever inspiring! Roly.xxx
its hard to get ure ehad around at 1st but if u look at it,even jesus was anti religion, god is interested in ure passion and ure relationship with him,not a ceromony or a traditiopn that the church seems to make u think u ahv2 do in order for god to love you!
Fear is the greatest motivater. Fear is used to demand adherance. Like fear of eternal damnation, perhaps.
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us." 1 John 4 : 18-19 The motivation of a christian should never be fear but he/she should be in freedom, with boldness, and absolutely full of LOVE!
Then why was 'Hell' ever mentioned in the Bible or the entire book of Revelation for that matter? What need would there be for Hell if not to convince people to act 'morally' in the eyes of God? What need for the human conception of justice hath an all-knowing, eternally forgiving God need? What freedom?--God was omniscient last time I checked.
cumon arlia, we shouldnt let people in our religion because they have a genict disorder where they cannot eat the body of Christ...God intentionally creates people who cannot join...cause that makes sense
if you dont repent then you have not acepted the forgiveness you have rejected it. god does not condemn anybody, they condemn themselves.each person decides wat path they will lead. god does not wish for anyone ot go to hell, that is why he sent his son,so that ppl could be with him, have relationship with him.jesus does so that all mankind, for every sin can be forgiven if they acept that they have sinned and descide to let jesus into theyre lives
so god is basically the lead official? these are the rules set down in stone ( literally). accept them or suffer? I can dig it.
its not except it or suffer.......god does not want anyoen t o suffer,if u have not acepted jesus u are still living cut off from god like adam and eve were.if you are cut off from god and you ahve never excepted him,he does not even know you. you do not ahve a unity with him! god is far form condeming people, the devil actually steals people from him,in excepting jesus you have been gods, you are owned by him,u are his and no one can steal you from him,his holy spirit is always with you
If God is omnipotent then he has the power to do anything (even the impossible, ominpotence has no bounds). If God does not want us to suffer why does not he intervene when a soul is sent to Hell? That would certainly be within his power. If, as you say, the Devil actually steals our souls, why cannot God steal them back? Would that not be in the interest of an omnibenevolent God? If God is omnibenevolent and omnipotent why does he not relieve the suffering of the world. Sure we brought it upon ourselves, but God has the power to help us yet he DECIDES not to, therefore he is not actually omnibenevolent. Presumably, God is omniscient, that is, he is all knowing (past, present, future). If our actions are already decided and those actions are contrary to God's will, is God not flawed? He has created defective beings and despite his omnipotence decides not to right his wrongs, therefore he is not perfect. If God truely desired a personal unity with every individual why did he create beings that inherently reject him? How can we make the choice to reject him (and why would he give us that ability) if he is omniscient and our actions are already decided? How does free will work if God has decided our fate? If you deny this quandry: If God's interest was eternal happiness and unity with him why not create us in heaven completely aware of his Greatness? Is existence on earth meant to weed out the non believers? If that is so he is once again not omnbenevolent.
