I think if you do eat meat, at least let the animals have a decent life before hand. Some of the stuff you see about how they are treated is horrific.

 

Maybe it would help to imagine them like this instead.

I don't know what to think about eating meat. I've been around chickens and pigs, and to be honest, they seem rather stupid. Some vegetarians will compare it to cannibalism, but people are far more intellectually superior. I don't know... I don't agree with animals being treated poorly but I don't think I will ever care enough to become vegetarian.

 

Vegetarianism (from my understanding of it, I am not a vegetarian) isn't about refraining from eating meat because of the virtue of intelligence, it's about avoiding a lifestyle that causes pain to other creatures.
Personally, I believe that sort of lifestyle to be an ideal that is not realistically 100% possible, which is why whenever I eat meat, I do so with grace and thankfulness, and I think really that's the best we can do.

 

I'm sure they could convince me to become vegetarian...

I think I can speak for everyone when I say I abhor the cruel treatment of animals but as the population continues to swell and the growing demand for meat and poultry increases, some corners might have to be cut in order to meet (no pun intended) the demand
