A lot of French people add an "s" where it isn't needed.

    pastas
    hairs

It sucks to correct them because it makes sense, in a way. oh well.

I'm not following you, if you are responding to me

    but

"someone complains about my french or spanish accent"

It is all in good fun from what I have seen.

A German speaking French has a certian accent and a Norweigan speaking French has a different one and a French speaking Dutch has a different one, ect. Lots of accents, its all different. It is more cute to most people than anything. Never seen anyone complain.

Not even close! It's not bad at all!!!

    ect. = etcetera

All it is, is short hand. A very common one at that. It can be found in many books and published articles. People use "ect" all the time.

etc. is an abbr. of etcetera, which comes from the latin 'et ceteri,' meaning 'and others'

At least I thunk so anyways :)

    *shakes head* It's etc.

"Ect" is the abbreviation for electro-convulsive therapy or just a sound like you have phlegm.

    small detail

Because it is et cetera, people could write it as et cetera (ect), a mistake I could understand since the ect go in order anyways. Technically, a proper abbrevation. Numerous things share the same abbrevation too.

This thread is all about the "small details" that people habitually get wrong... You can't go making up your own abbreviations!

Capitalising Every Word In A Sentence Is Also Wrong.

Not sure whether that would be a grammar error or something else, though. A punctuation error, maybe?

well, i know from experience that when you try to write in all caps on hipforums, it ends up just capitalizing the first letter of every word. that seems to be what happened to poor, poor hailtothekingbaby, and now he must suffer your pretentious mockery despite the fact that it is evident that your own grasp of the English language is indeed quite shaky! oh, the horror....
