LOL, Zoomie, you CAN do it. Hell, if I can, ANYONE can, he, he, he... I was up to two packs a day, too!
that's what I was hoping for when I was opening the thread... ...i prefer the smell of pipe tobacco much more than the smell of cigarettes....
as pavel said in another thread about quitting smoking... the problem is not quitting....it is not starting back up again....
My uncle smoked the pipe when I was a youngster. I used to be captivated by the smell (pleasant), his mannerisms while smoking, his sage demeanor, the hovering, curving smoke billowing off the bowl, his posture sitting cross-legged in his tiny, cluttered apartment... I great lesson in tobaccoism. Thanks bubba! But actually, my stepfather was a cig smoker. And my only male-figure. Temperamental and macho as all hell. You can draw your own conclusions... *goes for a smoke* :leaving:
Just for the record, I'm letting my beard grow...somehow if feels linked to my general psychological trend. Do you guys have a clue as to why beards and smoking go together in any way???
such pleasant images.... the smell of pipe tobacco brings back excellent images from my childhood as well....there was a men's clothing shop downtown....very nostalgic in nature, all wooden floors, LOOOONG wooden counters, tin ceilings, etc.....the man who owned the place smoked a pipe....delightful swedish man...used to go in there to buy my father various things....i was saddened when they turned the place into a restaurant...
Well, they just made it illegal to smoke in bars in Thailand since last Tuesday. I didnt know until I sparked up last night and some guy told me to take it outside. I think it's great. Another reason on my ever-growing list of reasons to quit.
Smoking is not bad for your health, Geo. At least "certain people" smoking, that is... He, he, he... I will buy cigarettes for all of my enemies, LOL... Problem is, I don't have any enemies!
