Because the self is attached to the body, and to the ego. You're kidding yourself in every denial of this.

And Yeal wasn't? But this is all beside the point.

It isn't. But you think this would stop me pointing out the truth?! Again, this is beside the point.

Refrain from what is done? You give me much too much credit.

WOW... you are so wise... you are so close. The anwser is right before you my friend... You are shooting darts. Really nice colorful ones (might I add) so close to the Bullseye it's not even funny.

    So now the question,

Why does Conscious energy that makes you happy always override or supercede Conscious energy that makes you unhappy in your life experience? ;) Ponder it long enough and you may have to start re-formulating that last paragraph ;)

And since this is my first post in this very amusing thread...

I'm gonna throw down the Gauntlet, in this thread... you all make brilliant points and arguments... however... I always look for the big picture... and what I see here is this

A pivotal quest to answer the big Three...

    1. Who am I

    2. a) What am I doing here?
    2. b) What happens when I die?

    3. What the BLEEP is all this around me?

Who ever can anwser me these three questions without coming to the conclusion there is God needs some serious time on a cushion to reflect. Cause they really don't get "the big picture".

We are extremely complex configurations of energy that have become conscious. Since I do not believe energy itself is conscious, there is no particular conscious energy that makes me happy and one that makes me sad. All feelings are part of one person's consciousness. The workings of a mind had to evolve a preference for happiness, even at the expense of ignorance, to prosper, reproduce and avoid self destruction. Ignorance is bliss and the comfort of a God is a common element of this bliss that man has fabricated.

People for the most part do not want to hear the real truth behind those three questions because they may be incompatible with their fabricated happiness. People want happy answers to these questions or else they will end up on a cushion.

I quoted your writing in another thread and proposed you an excersize in another ... i won't restate it here... cause I will start sounding like a broken record.

Then my friend, since you claim this is a fabrication of my subconscious, a perception of fear in response to the unknown, I ask you how to define death.

Even Science (at a VERY fundamental level) my friend claims to all action there is an equal and opposite reaction, If I am energy, When I die, where does this energy go? What was cannot just dissapear without a trace. The Equation needs a balance my friend.

You said in that other post, how we are all this amazing being of molecular structure and how it all come together in what you define today as this complex configuration of energy and you my friend are bang on. I give 1,000,000 Gold stars for this conclusion.

    Now tie it together...

    Like an E=Mc2

    right now you have E=M... ... ... ??

    Where is the balance...???

How does the Universe compensate for the sudden loss of your Energy within it?
What happens to the fabric of space and time when your energy suddenly falls out of the space time continnum?

The Truth is my friend, your simply going to have to come to grip with the fact that there is something very very very deep and profound happening at a level that is far deeper then what you can see at the naked eye. When you see how the thoughts and the emotions you express start to influence the Universe around you... then... the Concept of God, becomes a very very REAL thing.

And that my friend is enlightenment.

And it brings you to your knees.

    http://www.life-enthusiast.com/twilight/research_emoto.htm

    Happy reading...

You need to first understand this before you can understand why God is needed in the overall equation, and where he fits in it, in order for it to work. And you with your above average intelligence I pray will grasp this concept because your bascially what we as humans would perceive to be 1 millimeter away from the bullseye.

Yes me friend, me friend, him set me free again :D

    haha

Nikalaus, not everyone is willing to conquer their own
delusion of ego and confront the massive overwhelming
    love of God.
It's beautiful that you are trying to share this with others,
but the way in which you are trying to convince is a
    little bit over bearing.
    Honestly, it is.
If our friend is ever going to grasp any concept of God
that he himself can understand to be true, not dependant
upon the perspective of other people, then it will come to
    him on its own.
God comes to each of us as individuals, because it is the
individuals dissolving ego that starts the unfolding of the
ever-opening flower of God's love for us :)

    Hmmm... You are sooooo right...

I agree with you 1000% percent.

But seriously John, you have to agree especially this fellow, He is so close...

It gnaws at my leg like a little Dog...

    Sighs...

I suppose if the need ever becomes great enough, he will be called to reason one way or another...

I know man, I see people all the time that
I so long to share the beauty of God realization
with, but if I were to tell them "wake up man! or
woman! You are missing out on LIFE!"
they would call me elitist and egotistical, so I
have to keep my mouth shut.
It is hard, I feel exactly what you are feeling friend.
Much love to you, its great to
meet new people who appreciate God's beauty
    in all equally. :)

Uhh yes I realize In essence I become ... well ... Poo. I'm not completely blind.

But that result is only at the surface ... ever see rock fall in a pond... did you ever see the ripples?

Tell me, my good man, please tell me, that you do not realize, that when you fall to the ground as poo... it creates ripples in the fabric of the space time continuum, exactly like the rock hitting the water...

Cause if you can't see that... you are wasting some MAJOR god given wisdom.

Sorry for picking on you relaxxx ... What I am doing is very much against my principles... It's just that I see how very smart you are and how close you are in your reasoning to enlightenment

    Don't kid yourself I was a non-believer for a long time...

    LOL.

    sighs... truce man, truce.

I shall pick on you no longer.

Well then during the holocaust your space-time fabric thingy must have resembled the perfect storm!

I bet there are still 30 foot swells on from that one.

It definitely ripples as information and emotions in the human consciousness but that's where my belief ends unless you have some evidence of this fabric existing outside of your imagination.

Don't feel bad for me, I'm just fine. But I am nowhere near any acknowledgement of a God. And I hope I'm wrong, I have an imagination, I can pretend there is a God. I can also imagine my contempt for this God to be beyond rage, stark raving furious rage!! I would spit in his face, I would spit in his face for every man woman and child who ever died in his name, I would spit in his face for every man woman and child who ever suffered under his power. I'd love to be wrong, I'd love to look into the eyes of Satan and spit in his face. But I'm not wrong.

The idea of God brings me no comfort whatsoever.

Godomites become incensed by mockery of their manna.

Such poverty of understanding, such importunate affectation, if it is to be tolerated, requires the most thorough derision.

When it all comes down to it, the ones that don't believe in God, believes a human brain, animals, planets, rain that sustains life, cycles such as photosynthesis, the sun that gives us all energy to live, and all these truly amazing things all somehow came about randomly, by luck. I simply believe that only God could be responsible for the many wonders in this universe. Its his proof to us, of his own existence. He also gave us religion to learn that LOVE IS THE KEY DOWN ON THIS EARTH.

"As the two beings approached us, I could also feel the love flowing from them toward us. The complete joy they showed at seeing the Christ was unmistakable. Seeing these beings and feeling the joy, peace and happiness which swelled up from them made me feel that here was the place of all places, the top realm of all realms. The beings who inhabited it were full of love. This, I was and am convinced, is heaven." (Dr. George Ritchie)

"At 4:13 p.m., I was transported from the physical realm, the realm of the body, to a spiritual realm. I knew I was in another world - a world that is as real as this world is to anyone reading this." (Dr. Gerard Landry)

"Well, I felt myself leave my body. I just floated out of my physical form and I saw them cart my body away to the hospital. I went with it ... I wasn't frightened or anything like that because I was fine; and it was my body that was in trouble." (Peter Sellers)

"I knew right away that it was Jesus. "I knew by his eyes." (Randy Gehling)

"I had my first NDE when I was a child, perhaps at the age of two or three. This would be about 1953. It involved me drowning. My memories of it were of seeing my body below me." (Brian Krebs)

"I felt as if I were coming loose from my body! While I believed that my body was me, I knew instinctively that if I separated from it, I'd be dead! My soul and body started separating again and continued to separate until I felt a short, sharp pain in my heart, which felt as if something had been torn loose. Then slowly and softly I rose out through the top of my head." (Arthur Yensen)

"I was aware that I, me, was on a journey and had left my body." (Harry Hone)

"I watched my spirit leave my body and release itself from this world of flesh. I could see myself traveling through a tunnel of light that was a freedom it is hard to describe in physical terms." (Sherry Gideon)

"At the birth of my first child after 30 hours labor, complications occurred and the baby could not be born normally and at the height of the pain I left my body. I saw my body on the bed and tried to communicate to those tending to it but finally gave up and left out the roof of the hospital." (Alise)

"My next memory was quite a scene in the hospital emergency room. It was the most unique experience of my earthly life. Unique, because I was observing my own body in the emergency room and all the activity going on, except that I was not in my body. I was above it all - looking down. I was feeling no pain." (David Goines)

"A massive load of compressed cardboard Carter was loading slipped out of control, slamming him against a steel pole. He remembers a sharp pain, collapsing, being in a black void, then finding himself floating in a prone position twelve feet above his crumpled body. He saw and heard people running around, yelling for an ambulance and saying, "Don't touch him, give him air." His body went from white to blue; there was no breath. The sight filled him with awe. "I'm here, my body is there. How did this happen?" Not understanding how he could suddenly be airborne, Carter Mills attempted to reenter his body." (Carter Mills)

"The decision to leave this world hung suspended in an extended moment of absolute quiet. Passionless, I watched my spirit leave my body as a feeling of "otherness" engulfed me. I felt a strange detachment from my physical body and the life I had created. I was no longer connected to a pitiful, suffering mass of flesh." (Linda Stewart)

"Immediately after the impact from falling forward onto the metal grating, I felt myself floating up, out of my body, and hovering above my body and all the people who were watching it, and who seemed paralyzed by shock and horror at what had happened. I think they pretty much assumed that I was dead." (Dr. Liz Dale's research)

"I remember looking down and seeing my body three-dimensionally for the first time. And it was such a shock, because we never see ourselves except in a one-dimensional mirror reflection, or a photograph." (Dr. Liz Dale's research)

"I was in a barn along with about 8 or 9 other people. It was starting to storm so we had a little tobacco we wanted to finish unloading. Before we got into the cars we had there, [the lightening bolt] came through a board in the side of the barn and got me. I felt myself falling but it didn't hurt. Then I noticed I was above myself looking down at me. My body was actually smoking." (Mr. Thermal)

"On the eighth day of this misery, I seemed to just float right up out of my body. So, I'm looking down at my body lying in the bed still as a corpse, and I said, "Oh, ****** I've died!!" I was basically unnerved by this. But in the next second, I thought to myself, "Hey, if I'm dead, who is thinking these thoughts??" (Skip Church)

"Suddenly I was out of my body, hovering by the ceiling." (Karen Brannon)

"Am I outside myself observing? I see my body and its pain. I look at my feet; they are pale and lifeless. My legs cannot move. My face is white and drawn." (Josiane Antonette)

"I found myself floating on the ceiling over the bed looking down at my unconscious body. I barely had time to realize the glorious strangeness of the situation - that I was me but not in my body - when I was joined by a radiant being bathed in a shimmering white glow." (Beverly Brodsky)

"I see myself as a tiny dot out of my physical body, which lies inert before me. I find myself oppressed by darkness and there is a feeling of terrific loneliness. Suddenly, I am conscious of a white beam of light, knowing that I must follow it or be lost." (Edgar Cayce)

Which God are you talking about? The Xtian God? Odin? Thor? Set? maybe its the goddess of marsupials of a small tribe in Australia.

Or Better yet it could probably be Satan, he is considered a god to some people!

Easy to say, but what is "consciousness" and why did it evolve? What is its value to our survival? Why wouldn't android zombies with no awareness be able to do the same evolutionary jobs as conscious humans?

Proof of nutjobs did you say?

What’s that psychological situation called when people hear stories and all of a sudden it happened to them or someone they know? I know there’s a word for that. Oh well, a million “STORIES” aren’t going to prove shit to me, people believe all kinds of crazy bullshit and the half that aren’t crazy are lying little attention whores.

First of all evolution is not a JOB it's a product of natural selection so your question about androids makes no sense at all. An android would be running software emulating human behavior. It is extremely limited to programmed functions and it is not a creation of natural selection and biological evolution but mans technical evolution. So androids are tools and nothing more. Again I don't know if that answers your question because the question doesn’t make any sense.

Second, I've explained evolution of life and consciousness and if you've read it and grasped the basic concepts you wouldn’t be asking that question either.

One of the biggest problems or stumbling points with the creationists seems to be how to explain consciousness from unconscious energy. There is no doubt that human consciousness is the most complex and fragile state of life on this planet. There is an order to the nature of everything in this universe and that is higher complexity evolves from lesser complexity. Science and evolution may have holes but what parts we understand fit this order perfectly.

So energy in more basic forms is more robust and more ancient but not conscious. So how does something unconscious become conscious? In other words, how does something become more that what it is? There is a complex condition in nature that NATURALLY exists where large complex configurations of structures combine to create something more valuable than their sum total would actually be. This complexity is created by the process of natural selection. I'll to explain it in the simplest terms I can think of: Imagine one man can build one shed in 10 hours. There is complex and natural interaction that can permit 2 men to build 2.5 sheds in 10 hours. The sum total of the two components together are more than if they worked alone. There are 100 Billion cells in the human brain working together to create something more valuable than their individual sums value would be.
