My reply: I'm not a belligerant student, and never was. I was responding in kind to a belligerant teacher who told me to get out of his class for asking an honest question for which he had no answer. So much for the so-called "exchange of ideas" and honest discussion. I did NOT say I was smarter than my teachers. YOU wrongly implied that. So much for your ability to pay attention. Finally, I didn't insult you or anyone else. I said I don't believe the climate change propaganda, and challenged those who do to declare what you're going to do about it. You know....show me an idea of yours that actually works? Evidently your type is only capable of more deflection and misdirection. Again, it would be a lot easier for me to believe your hype if you could show me what you're going to do about it. Evidently that's too much to ask a climate change believer. By the way: I'm not a foreign language student. I speak english, being from America. This: "Res ipsa." means absolutely nothing to me.
US west and Canada brace for another heatwave amid almost 70 wildfires They expect temperatures to be 30°F (16.7°C) above normal. “In addition to the hot temperatures, the sultry air mass will spur additional wildfire growth and ignition across the west, where dozens of fires are already raging.”
Study: Northwest heat wave impossible without climate change Before the industrial era, the Northwest’s late June triple-digit heat was something that would not have happened in the Holocene Era; a once-in-a-millennium event. But that once-in-a-millennium event will likely occur every five to 10 years once the world warms another 1.4 degrees (0.8 degrees Celsius. That much warming could be 40 or 50 years away if carbon pollution continues at its current pace, and Scientists Have Been Underestimating the Pace of Climate Change. “Without climate change this event would not have happened.” This 'once-in-a-millennium event' is about to happen for the third time this summer.
Here in Portland it will hit 101 today, 106 tomorrow and 103 on Friday, then this weeked it will cool into the 90s. Not as bad as the heat wave last month but it still sucks.
What I find interesting is how some places are getting it worse that others... so far. Here in Baja Sur, we are about 10 degrees cooler this year than last, on average daily... Yet up in Portland it's about 20-30 degrees above normal...
