i can't stand people making fun of religion

Religion doesn't deserve some sort of special respect just like everything else in life, make fun of the shit in it all the time.

Did you know that Muhammed had a 6 year old wife which he had sex with when she was 9 years old. Muslims when they say Muhammed whisper 'Peace be upon him' every time they say it.

So this sort of stuff deserves respect and you'd not stand me if i dis-respected the fact he was a peado and that most muslims try to avoid this whole part and never speak about it? That means you're really dumb if you judge someone or dislike them for disliking someone for the way they feel about young children sexually.

Well i've never read the whole way through either the bible or koran but that's due to it getting too much (boring/stupid IMO). They are the only two i've tried, i've read some of that krishna book. Infact it's the only religious text i own cos i got it for free.

 

Why are people so hurtful and angry when they discuss religion? I have strong spiritual/religious beliefs, but don't discuss them unless asked. I never try to convert others to my way of thinking; I believe what I do, through my personal faith. If I were to try and compare my personal beliefs with what others think, then I'd be judging them, in a way. I try not to do that, because I screw up all the time and don't enjoy being judged.

Anyway, if this discussion was just meant to be fun and combative then I appologize; I don't get offended by religious jokes and think God (as I imagine him/her) must have a pretty good sense of humor because his kids (us) fuck up so much of the time.

If it was meant to be an actual discussion of faith then that's cool too.

 

They get emotional not because of how important it is but because of how fragile it is. Tell a child their dog is imaginary and they'll laugh at you, tell them that their favorite character is imaginary and they might get pretty angry. It's because you are messing with something that they have to fight internally to maintain as it is.

 

I wouldn't suggest that you read them. But if you don't and you haven't, I'd recommend not listening to everything you hear
