All the T&R dreads I did in my hair fell out until I realized you had to pull so hard that you come close to breaking hair. You wanna get real knots in there... don't be afraid to pull really hard and make the knots stay.... they should stay in just fine.

what the hell did you expect to see when you purposely tangled and matted your hair? Looks like hair that's in the process of dreading. If you're worried about loose hair, dreads aren't for you. It will always be there and in fact is what keeps the locks strong and give them their length over time. Loose hair is a good thing.
yeah just leave it alone, we're really not lying to you when we say that your hair will dread whether you mess with it or not, and I'm of the opinion that it looks much better and more natural if you don't mess with it.
aight. good stuff. i am kinda glad i did some shit with it last night though, because a couple spots legitimately sucked and were way too thin, and now they're not. i'll try not to screw with them from now on though.
I think people should actually grow some hair before they attempt to dread it. Longer hair doesnt seem to fall apart as much
yeah, i agree. that's def why it keeps falling apart in the back. my hair looks like shit when it's long though, starts to flare out and fall in my face. actually got really annoying, which was part of the reason i decided to get dreads. since i like having my hair long but can't stand dealing with it after a while.
your hair falls in your face because you part it on the side. if you part it in the middle it won't fall in your face....
that's where it naturally parts for me. i think because that's where i've always parted it and it's just used to it now.
you can change your part you just have to be persistent with it. I used to part my hair on the side, now the part is in the middle and I like it much better but it was hard to get it to stay at first. you have to train it.
I have a side part and over time, they hair totally just lays out of my face naturally of time. It took a while to train it, and I even tried to completely remove the part anyway. It just wouldn't happen. My hair doesn't get in my face though. Unless you have a natural looking part in the middle, I think it looks ridiculous to force it.
My brothers girlfriend before his current one did the play with the hair thing all the friggin time, I mean like constantly, she always had at least one hand in the hair. Used to annoy the fuck out of me. She was a skankturtle anyway and he dumped her so ha! Take that hair freakazoid
