cats are usually happier and healither once they've been spayed or neutered. Not to mention that usually live longer once they have been fixed, plus it's less stess on the animal. They have the urge to breed and when they can't they sometimes act out or have "behaviors", like hair loss and loud constant meowing. Your cats will thank you.

of course your DO take a chance with your cats health and well being when they put them to sleep for neutering/spaying...it can cause heart attacks in cats not to mention death...no sorry i would never take such a risk

there is more of a risk of a cat getting run over than there is of a cat dying due to anasthetic.

I would never put myself in a situation where I did not reasearch it thoroughly, and I have the same rule for my cats. Most, not all unfortunately, vets do a lot of testing before even concidering putting a cat or dog under anestetics to assure that they won't have adverse reactions to the anestetics. I would never go to a vet who didn't.
