It's next to impossible for me to fall asleep.

I usually go to bed around 3 in the morning... I've just set up my class schedule in such a way that I never have to wake up before 10.

 

And u r in college ? How can u afford to wake up after 10 ?

My MWF classes start at 13:00 and my TTH classes start at 12:15.

I have class till 4ish most of the week. I'm on my break between classes right now.

You must realize that school here in America is pointlessly easy, so I don't really have to do any studying.

I do really need a job though.

my classes also start at 13, but I always get up at 6 or 7. I really envy u. u get to get up late and drink with ur proffesors. I like the american system. What r u studying, if I may ask?

 

his case isn't the case for all...my first class starts just before 8, 4 days of the week. its all about how your school sets up the classes and then you get to decide which ones you take.

i can't do an afternoon schedule, thats when i have swim practice, so most my classes are in the morning or early afternoon - nothing later than 4pm

my sleep schedule is fucked already, so caffeine will fuck it worse than i have it now, which is pretty raw and red

i do have tuesdays off though, so thats pretty sweet. mondays and fridays i'm done before 11 with classes. so its all how you work the schedule for yourself

 

atleast u get to choose ur classes and make ur own schedule...

 

Yeah, most people here have a morning schedule...

Which is great because the afternoon classes are smaller and much more relaxed.

I'm majoring in Writing, but I will probably change it to secondary education in English.

 

i would really enjoy a afternoon to night schedule. do my practice and training in the morning...and then class later on in hte day. i'd be much happier that way...but my school doesn't operate like that

 

I d prefer morning classes. That way, I could study in the afternoon. This way, I have to stay up late and get up real early to study. It sucks. I have no life.

cant u do both ? here, if u r majoring in a foreign language, u have to take sth else too, cause its not really demanding. no offense...

 

You have a major and a minor in the US.

You can double major, or double minor, or whatever.

My minor is Honors (Interdisciplinary Studies), but I may add Anthropology to it, just for kicks.

I wouldn't be majoring in English, I'd be majoring in English and in Secondary Education.

Sure, but the Writing program is just complete bullshit.

Plus, I can easily get a job anywhere in the world as a teacher. I'm fluent in 4 languages, have traveling experience, and great references from teachers I've had.

I cannot stand this university... everything is ridiculously dumbed down. I feel like I'm more intelligent than every single professor I've ever had here.

 

I feel so stupid in college. Like a dumb outsider. I d really like to quit but that would be so disrespectful to my parents and everyone.

I can't quit... I don't really have any options. I have to leave America if I quit.

Argh... all I really want out of this life is to live somewhere in the woods with a couple of friends and never see this idiotic society again.
