Quote: Also to clarify not all wahhabists are terrorists or extremists, but their ideology influences many extremists who take the already conservative wahhabism a step further. That covers my ass for the most part, but my main point is in many situations it's us against them, and the only way to settle things is fight. It may not be right, but it is necessary. I honestly don't concern myself with morals so much as doing what _I_ think is right. It has gotten me in trouble, but most of the people who have had to punish me due to rules or laws still talk to me today because I clearly told them why I did what I did. It's called integrity. I believe that if the US wants to torture people they don't need to lie about it. they should just straight up say yea we did, it was necessary, fuck you. No one has the balls to be accountable for anything and that is the problem.
for the cowards i actually meant the passengers who couldnt prevent the planes from crashing into the towers, not the terrorists lol
Oh man, I didnt even realize you posted the word cowards in this thread  That was definitley not typed in response to you digital
"Dropping bombs for peace is like having sex for virginity, or dropping acid for sobriety." You are the one deluding yourself, friend.
Hypothetically, what do you think the state of affairs in the world would be today if the US had followed a course opposite of what it did after September 11? What would the world be like presently if the US stopped giving military aid to Israel, removed the troops and military installments that it had in the middle east, and vowed to take a noninterventionist approach to foreign policy in the region? Integrity, revenge, and morality are merely concepts, and it is crazy that you hold stock in such imaginary notions and somehow use them to argue for killing more people. It's almost like what you claim Islamic terrorists do.
No not at all. I don't believe we should attack anyone without reason. I hold no stock in morality at all as it varies between cultures. I do feel that we should have more accountability in our society. Everyone wants to blame some one else for their problems, and few take them head on and fix them. All I'm saying is that Al-Qaeda has attacked us, now we have to show them why you don't kill our people. I admit we have caused many civilian casualties, but so did they. This is an us against them thing, and I pick us. This has nothing to do with politics, they attack we retaliate. It's the natural order of things. Until the economic principle of scarcity has been conquered and the foolish masses finally understand that religion is BS, there will always be war and killing and generally mean shit going on. This is a viewpoint and each person has their own, and alot of it correlates to what they know and their personal strengths and weaknesses. I'm hard to bother, but once I'm bothered I assess the problem and then use the best plan of attack to solve the problem. This pertains to all aspects of my life from school to work to social situations not only fighting and war. The way I see it you hit me, I hit you. I'm more of a malcom X than an MLK.
And these people have ever posed a threat to your way of life? You really know nothing. What makes you think they want to take over your country? They'd simply rather you just left their's alone... Perhaps they feel the same way about the fundamentalist capitalists? Who, incedentally, also pose more of a threat to your way of life... But it's impossible to fight an organisation that doesn't really exist and has no central base. It's not a country- you can't invade someone's country because you *suspect* they maybe might be harbouring so-called Al Qaeda. It's nothing to do with 9/11, ever notice the tactics being used then look at a map. Afghanistan first as it's easily taken over which gives you a foothold then Iraq on the other side of the arab world then you can work your way in from both sides and get all that lovely oil, that's why there's so much hype over Iran and Pakistan at the mo because they want to drum public support for more unjustified illegal wars. Your economy is fucked but they don't like to talk about that huh. 10 years ago £1GBP would buy $1.5USD now it's more like $2USD. Iraq stopped selling oil in dollars and switched to euros therefore creating a massive hole in the US economy, many other countries are now trading in euros not dollars as it's more stable and dollars aren't worth shit these days. There's a lot more reasons for war than stopping terrorists, it's pretty much purely economic... It's not a good thing but it was deserved iykwim, you can't walk around being the bully cracking skulls with a baseball bat then complain when someone gives you a little slap back. I feel much the same way about the terrorist attacks over here also so it's not just an anti american rant believe me. That's Al Qaeda's philosophy... Until you start commemerating the lives of the 4 million massacred in Vietnam, the 75,000 civilians dead in Iraq so far and the countless lives slaughtered in Columbia, Chile, Nicaragua, Grenada, El Salvador, Cambodia, Afghanistan and a myriad of other countries including assasinating democratically elected leaders who happened to be left wing or have some other domestic policy the US wasn't fond of -and only until then- I have no real cares about 9/11. 3000 people is a drop in the ocean compared to what the US has done pretty much unharmed. I'm not ranting against you guys here. People are not their governments, my country's done a lot of fucked up shitty stuff also, just trying to put into perspective how small 9/11 is/was.
I understand your sentiments, but what you fail to realize(or at least write down) is that someone is always on top. Their is always a winner and a loser. Look at the Romans, Look at Great Britain, and now it's the US. When on top it's a country's leaders' job to stay on top. If that means we have to kill 1 million people, then that's what we do. If someone comes over here and blows me up in the name of freedom, fuck it. I'm dead and all this political BS is for the living. But for as long as I'm alive I'm going to attempt to remain that way. No I have never been personally threatened, but their blanket threat includes me and my death is a small victory for them. So I intend to support our government in slaughtering anyone who has an inkling of a bad feeling for me. I would gladly sign up for the marines bar two things: I would be court martialed immediately b/c I'm shooting anyone who looks even slightly threatening and 2 I don't believe I'd be killing real terrorists in Iraq. If someone blew the shit out of america and moved in I'd be pissed, but as I said before if we pull out now the country will fall into civil war. Also what many fail to realize is with shi'ites lobbying for an Islamic state, and Iran right next door being an Islamic state; we may create a hard line Islamic superpower, and I don't trust Iran as far as I can throw them.
i believe i know where thats from the boys from the US government just wanted a little more dollar in their pocket but its too late for arguments and whos right and whos wrong because its already started and if theres a beginning to something, theres an end and these kind of things go way too deep for a couple of stoners arguing about it the world isnt what it seems
