Haha yeah my real friends and I ALWAYS split money. I mean we can't get drinks very easily cause we're all high schoolers, but there's always pot to be found where we are.
When I'm out with my sister and guys buy her drinks, she'll make them buy two and give one to me. My sisters badass
not really. i always have enough money for drinks, and in order to have friends who are willing to buy you drinks, you have to be willing to buy them drinks. so basically, keeping friends like this would end up costing me more than it saves.
Exactly. I don't even know how 'college' works in America but watching Gilmore Girls has taught me it's a bit like A levels here, only more advanced and bigger.
Oh did someone in Gilmore Girls go to Yale ? They were mentioning it A LOT and saying how difficult it is and they showed a lot of things with the word Yale on them, but I dunno....
Rory, I stopped watching after a little while but I got the sense it was hard and she wanted to do five courses but couldn't handle it. That's pretty much the case with a levels, most people do 4 but if you're extra bright you can do 5. haha... k. Isn't yale supposed to be one of the best colleges in the world? Even if it is american.
supposedly. i'll believe it when i struggle with one of their classes. which won't happen because i'm not going to try.
I guess that's what its like. With all those secret clubs n shit... But they got nowt on our Country Uni, badass transsexual club n all.
If my memory is right, she had a boyfriend who she was sleeping with an awful lot. While also having family commitments. On top of that she was a little bit of a drama queen...it was more about others reminding her she could cope (because she is soooo clever) and she just needed some perspective and better time management (and perhaps less sex.) You can catch the whole series again as it is showing on E4... Anyhoo...My friends and I always used to buy for each other but after about 5 years of that it became too much. It was like people would come out with no cash on purpose and expect to be sorted out. The trust had gone.
I love E4, it's where I watched it in the first place but it comes on at like 11 or something and I can't be bothered to record it. It got boring after a while.. I only watched for Paris.
It's repeated 4 times a day (if you count +1) It did get slightly formulaic and I did lose interest. They could have ended it better...(but I think everyone was getting bored.) Oh, Rory suddenly gets onto Obamas campaign trail and has to leave in the next 30 minutes...sure. Plus the Luke and Lorelei ending was poor. But, I can't think of many shows that end as good as they start. Me: The mother / daughter ass shots and Paris
Same. She was a hot bitch.. Who cracked me up! Yeah after a while it just seemed like it was neverending. I don't know how it ended but I read she and Logan never made it and I don't know what happened with Luke and Lorelei but I was guessing that it'd be a Ross and Rachel type of ending.
whaaat i didn't know that show ran so long... i think of alexis bledel as a gothic hooker now, thank you sin city...
I guess if it was stretched out over half a dozen years it would not be so bad. But, here, as you know, it was on every-single-day. I don't think they quite resolved the Logan love interest - he wasn't in the finale, anyway. He went to London - I think - and she'd be with him in a year or so. Another major storyline that kinda fizzled out in one episode as usual. It ended with her going off on the Obama campaign, the mother getting together with Luke via his blue cap - that he wears in every episode - that she bought him in the first or second episode. The last image is of her and her mother chatting in luke's - like they do in the credits of every episode. It started like that and ended like that...how quaint.
