I like Steve Miller until he did that Abracadra I want to reach out and grab ya song :ack: http://www.noolmusic.com/videos/steve_miller_band_-_abracadabra_-_naruto.php
I got heavy into that shit when I was about 14. My boy crush in school wore leather jacket with studs, stealtoed boots and a mohawk.I remember going into hot topic and asking for flux of pink indians shirt and them looking at me like what the fuck. I dunno what happened to that though. I got older, I never totally stopped listening to that kinda music, but...it's kinda hypocritical because I dance to since U been gone when im gettin dressed in the morning.
I like Rush. I have a friend who's obsessed with Rush, so I may be a little brainwashed. Yet, I really like the vocals... You get major cool points for listing The Velvet Underground twice.
I thought everyone liked the Velvet Underground.. I thought 2 year olds liked the Velvet Underground. aborigines in a small culturally insulated tribe like the Velvet Underground.
I like a lot of bands... Rush is just one of them. I honestly don't see what so bad in them. They are in no way great, but probably on par with the likes of CCR and such more classicy rock. The Sonic Youth are coming to Arkansas soon. I'm excited.
i like tVU and rush, what's so frickin' weird about that eh? both dandy bands in their own rights. there are definitely some american bands i like. and there are some i hate. and i certainly haven't heard all this country has to offer, by any stretch. a lot of my friends are musicians, and they're fucking amazing. i just can't agree with such a generalization with so little basis for judgement..
music is good, feed off it's energy, enjoy the love that is life, but do not become the music, the music is not you.
the music i listen to, i don't really pay attention to where it came from, but a lot of it does come from japan and a lot of it comes from western europe. certainly at least some of it comes from the u.s. too. it almost goes without saying that what i listen to almost never finds its way onto clear channel's play lists, nor those of any other corporate media. =^^= .../\...
The Sonic Youth are coming to Arkansas soon. I'm excited.[/QUOTE] ur lucky i still havent had the chance to see them but next chance i have i have to see them.. i dont even care if its by myself as not many people i know.. kno just how great they are. I really think there best Alternative band to ever play that kind of music ever... by the far the most unique or atleast of what ive heard from that kind of music. Have you heard of Thurston solo album he put out a few months ago? Tree's Outside of the Academy? ive only heard a few songs but there great similiar to SY but deffinitly has its own thing going on. J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr plays some execellent lead guitar on the album.
