I experience this behaviour regularly. Some people in specific ethnic groups seem to get off on being openly confrontational. I think it's funny. For instance, a group of Honduran gentlemen were blocking the exit at Home Depot the other day. Apparently they think caucasian contractors don't like them and won't hire them. I assured him that nothing was further from the truth. When his pal got really shitty with me I told him in no uncertain terms that "I am more than capable of flipping my own tortillas and hanging my own drywall. But the redneck over there in the orange camo vest said he caught syphillis from your sister."

When they took off after him I loaded my stuff and beat feet the fuck outta there.

Some people are just... angry.

The people who are offended by the word should get over themselves. It's as simple as that.

I don't use it at all, I just don't see the problem with using it. Common sense does tell one not to use it around black people... but not using a word just because it offends some people... that's silly.

What I saw in your post was ignorance, and the fact that you would think to say something about flipping tortillas?? I can only imagine you meant that to be funny, because it really wouldnt serve any other purpose...If a group of white guys tried to beat you up, it wouldn't be a race issue would it? So how is this any different? and where do you get off generalizing this type of behavior to an entire nationality? and you're not very good at telling stories, by the way.
