    I've had lots of Native American friends, actually.
    I've been told from my grandfather that I had some Native American in me, but I can't trust him for anything...this is the man that made up cards in the 70's that said he was a lawyer so women would sleep with him. :D

    I live in Texas, and it's got tons of Mexican people. Like 40% of the population, but not many pure blooded natives.

    I see native canadians a lot..:rolleyes:

    my mom is dating one.

    and in my old town, there was a reservation 20 minutes away(hah my moms boyfriend lives there) so I went to school with tons of em.

    I see them all the time, where I live there is a native american festival every may for like 3 days, its awesome.

    I am about half native american myself, Cherokee. I belong to a tribe, havnt been to a meeting in a long time tho.

    So yeah I see them, they are not extinct. lol.

    Ah, but does it really matter how many Natives there are? I believe the fate of the world is mixed, with no one being no one thing, which is fine for me as long as the colorful cultures stay intact. I did, however, meet some pure Native Americans when I went to the Grand Canyon. I say that because everyone else I met was always 1/8 or less. Myself, I'm part Scottish, Irish, German, Dutch, Polish, and Native American. Mostly Scottish. Don't ask what type of Native American, though, because it seems my great great grandmother didn't bother to learn what tribe the guy she did it with was from.... That or everyone who was told and is still alive didn't care. Who knows?
