When you think about it,isn't it insane that some people have to "rely" on a job or insurance company for healthcare. The rest of the civilized world has it right-- socialized medicine. Its not perfect but far better than how low US healthcare has sunk.
i'm just not sure when something like health insurance/health care became a human right instead of a purchased commodity. aren't we always complaining about overpopulation?
and tell me who the fuck wants to live in either of those places??? australia censors their internet England, well, they are england nuff said
When I was growing up no-one in America even thought about having socialized medicine. The medical system worked fine.--However back then the drug and insurance companies were not the big, out of control criminals they are nowadays.
I wasn't insured for a year, when I wasn't in school, and I didn't even realize it until this August when my dad was like "priss you're back on my health insurance since you're going to college" I went to the hospital last November too.. and got like a $10,000 bill in the mail... I called them and told them they were crazy and I paid my $50 co-pay.. and they were like oh okay apparently I wasn't covered so I really did owe the $10,000 weird.
I just used those 2 countries as 2 examples of many. And I beg to differ, alot of people in Australia and England are quite happy that they reside in those countries.
I don't know the answer, but something has to be done about the healthcare "industry" in America.I think 'proper' regulations would be a good start. In other words go back to what used to work well. After all ,these companies used to be regulated properly and everything worked better. Now you can't even watch regualar tv without seeing a commercial from a drug or insurance company.
