in a certain elseworlds there are many batmen (one the son of bruce wayne and talia al ghul) one of them is black.
if we are going to grab a token black character, I'd actually like to see crispus allen, because any of the batman villains who are black, are really lessed (unless you count cain, but that was only under one writer and the canon now says he's asian, and MAYBE lock-up, but that's another kettle of fish)

edit: Also, I should mention the only other REAL batman (temped during knightfall) is john paul valley, who might be less dead soon, really, I'd like that because I fuckin' love azrael.

 

final crisis, or as a resolution to Batman R.I.P. (the present story arc in which batman has been brainwashed, and bruce has been removed from the equation, not at all the villains intent, but an unfortunate side effect of dealing with someone that prepared)

samuel L cant play batman...the actor can NEVER be bigger than the role hes playing...only synonymous with it...christian bale?...who the fuck was he before Batman Begins? a nobody...he was american psycho...big fucking deal...a completely forgettable movie...but when batman begins got huge...so did he...batman=christian bale...samuel L on the other hand...hes been in some badass shit...him as batman is an insult to himself...if hes gonna play a hero in a movie...its gonna have to be something new...another badass movie samuel L jackson was in...it wouldnt be batman...it would be something along the lines of..."Samuel L. Jackson in....NIGGABAT!"

 

Batman rocks it. anyone who can appreciate his awesomeness will get along well with me.

 

batmans popularity has a much greater scope than jacksons, for the endurance through some SERIOUSLY bad writing and tumultuous times, to the massive circulation number they still manage to pull (across all books)
