That's strange... but like George, I'm not totally surprised. I used to talk to him over PM every now and then, and he was always very nice, funny, and totally non-sexual when we talked, so I never had any bad thoughts about him. However, I remember after he was banned, a few people were talking about how he was a pervert... but like I said, I never really knew if there was any truth to it. But I guess there was. I think I remember him talking about the 19-year-old, too. I was under the impression that he was raising the teen as a sort of adoptive father... but maybe not "officially." I recall him talking about it in a few threads a couple years ago, but yeah, it was two years ago, and I don't remember all that much about it. I also remember him posting some in Young Hippies, which was a little odd since he was, what, 38, and everyone else was pretty much 14-20. However, he certainly wasn't the only one, and I by no means would call that pedophile behavior. Eh, weird stuff.
No no no, the 12 year old was the one he told us about... He was 10 at the time and Blackie was doing sort of a parole/foster care thing on the side of his other job, which was being a corrections officer. I remember him asking me about getting him a guitar and all of this. That's the thing with Blackie, he was a fairly laid-back guy, but the first time I saw him, there was just something odd about him in the back of my mind. He seemed like a really lonely guy, who went down a really rocky and wrongful path... that and I know he had a pretty fucked up relationship with his parents, so to be honest, it's not that difficult to come to terms with if you've talked to him enough. Just kind of creepy that he would go that far when he used to joke so much... I thought the 38 thing was bizarre too, but I could tell he was a really lonely guy who didn't ever seem to do much besides post on here at work... and I know he was also bisexual and he would bring things up relating to that, but never really about kids or anything, besides the foster-care thing. I just remembered that and realized that was the 12 year old listed... that and I know he was in a relationship, I believe with a guy, and I suppose it *is* the 19 year old. Still haven't talked to Chuck or a few others, but they might know something about the other folks, if they were members or what...
Ahh, now I see... oh man, so the child in the pictures is the one he was raising... ugh. Man, that's sad for everyone involved. Yeah, now I remember that the kid was rather young. I think Chuck used to talk to him quite a lot, so yeah, he might know a few things. Ugh.
Yeah, that sorta effed me over, a bit, when I realized that... and how he was doing the foster-care sorta thing.
