Sympathy pains cute??? There's a reason us guys don't give birth. It's because we're WIMPS!!! Knowing my luck, I'll be passing a kidney stone while Holly's pushing, shouting at her "YOU DID THIS TO ME!!!" :p

Update: We went to the birthing center last night when her contractions were about 5 minutes apart. However, Holly's dialated to 2-3 cm and they thought it best for us to come home and get a good night's sleep. That's fine with me as I desperately needed it and so did Holly. We're guessing tonight's the night. Hopefully sooner. I knew my baby was shy, but I wasn't expecting the longass labor. Actually, I don't know what I was expecting, being new at this and all.

Any news? I hope they don't have gastroenteritis (stomach flu) that is terrible while you are in labor.

We need to all think, pray, meditate for Freek and mono.

    Blessings

    I...
    Can't...
    TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!

I've been in early labor for almost 36 hours. 36 HOURS!

I'm feeling anxious, sort of a "shit or get off the pot" sort of sentiment...

The only time I FEEL the contractions is when I'm lying down...Any other position and I can't feel them even if my uterus contracts...

And the contractions keep petering out...I'll get an hour or so of consistent and long-lasting contractions, and then they stop again...

    I'm frustrated...:(

That sounds like my first labor. Start, stop, start, stop. Have you tried walking? Sometimes walking can progress labor.

Hang in there hon, you're almost there.

We went on a walk just now...No contractions...TONS of pressure but no contractions...that I could feel anyway....

And because it was hot out, I was sweaty all over...and for a second had myself convinced my water had broken, but after a shower...alas...nothing...:(

Awww man...have you put in any more calls to your doc?

It's going to happen soon. It doesn't seem like it, and I know this is the most frustrating part, but hang in there, you're almost there! Almost there!

Yeah...and she wants the contractions consisttent in spacing and length. At most, 5 minutes apart and one minute long....:(

this is just like what my labour was like with Leane. Your body's trying to get into active labour, but it just can't quite get there......
rest is my best advice, if you can. I was in labour for 38 hours with her before the hospital insisted on giving me pitocin....and I felt dead. I really do feel for you!
My contractions did that all day and then by midnight, boom, they were long, painful and very close together......so hopefully that'll happen for you soon. :)
