Did Castenadas spirits really interact with him? Or did he just pick up on the age old teachings of a spiritual nature within the living peoples minds, their imaginations? Mine spirits told me if I ever wrote about them, they would kill me. As you can see, I don't give a hoot what others tell me to do.........in the spirit or in the flesh. Hey Phil, maybe you already told this, but I was wondering: where do you get all these kind of stuff? I know you can find some shrooms in your neighbourhood but for these kind of plants you need some kind of dealer or such?

 

yeh. I get them because Montreal is so cool... But weed, hash, shrooms, acid, i think thats it... those are from dealer

but the rest of the entheogens I get them from a store downtown in Montreal who sells the cactis, salvia, and LOTS of others (www.psychonaut.ca is their website). But i dont think they deliver, ye gotta go there.
And before i had some friends at school who ordered things from the internet and sold them to me for very cheap. (i could get a gram of 20x for 10$) they had it from www.salviasupply.com which is obviously where we had our salvia, and also amanita muscaria, hemia salicolfia, etc...
And the rest of the plants I pick em up myself, including Datura, Mugwort, and amanita muscaria a couple of times.

 

Ah, that's handy. I saw the peyote cactus and other stuff in special dutch shops as well, but it takes a whole lot of time before you can use it for a trip isn't it?

 

yep.. peyote is something like 6 years i think. but you can buy legally some 3-4yr old ones and keep em growing, once prepared for consumption its illegal. But the shop Psychonaut doesnt sell peyote, it sells Peruvian Torch, which is the 2nd most mescaline potent cacti right after peyote, actually, a very potent peruvian torch is like a good peyote cacti. you just need to take more peruvian torch to have the equivalent, but its legal. at least here it is.

for peruvian torch, im not sure at all about how old the cacti must be... but they sell cut & dried pieces at the store for consumption lol. they never get in trouble, and supposedly its illegal in the states to do that.

 

I think it's legal here as long as it's labled ... "for incense use only"

Same with Salvia.

 

true but here its completely for consumption lol... the guy that works there even tells us about how much grams would be a good dose etc etc... and theyre not supposed to talk about consumption , and when he sells it to us he just puts the cacti in a paper bag without saying anything about incense use... i mean, the people here are smart enough to know that this isnt for incense use lol... thats just so fuckin stupid.

 

It's just so fuckin USA.

Hey man, it sounds like you had an amazing time. It reminded me of my shroom trip from a few days ago. I took a very mild dose and spent about 4 hours hiking around the local metro parks. My girlfriend and I just kept talking and figuring out life, the earth, the way... I dunno man, but it was quite the experience.

And did I hear someone say 20x for $10?!? If we're talking salvia, that is quite the price. I've been studying salvia for almost a year now, and there is nothing more interesting that hearing someone's account of a very strong trip. I need to get into cacti... never tried any of those.

lol yes thats right. 1g of 20X for 10$ canadian. but ive given lots of free shrooms to those dudes in the past years so they always gave me deals when i wanted some of their online drug orders.
I blacked out on salvia on one of my first times cuz i didnt know what was a good dose lmao

 

Hahaha, yeah.. It took me and my buddies a while to figure out how to make a proper dose. We just started right off with 20x and went from there. No need to "get used to it" with those damn small doses, right? haha

lmao got that right. i was such an idiot when i think of it again LOL... it was with a gram of 20X, i had only done 2 hits of 5X before this, and it was my friend that gave me the dose.
But now i was alone at my house with a gram of 20x, i was looking at it confusedly in my bedroom thinking "man... i think im supposed to smoke it all, but ill just start with this". so i filllllllled my pipe up so much... i go to the bathroom take a mean huge hit. bunch of others hits, i must've smoked as much as i could of the bag until i noticed "oh shit... i think i did it right"... i just had the time to come back to my room and lie down on my bed and i woke up something like 15-20 minutes later. i dunno if i woke up, but thats when i regained consciousness for the least. lol

 

That sounds rough man. I've found that if you're dealing with 20x, you can take the smallest hit possible out of a regular bowl, and if you hold it in for a while you'll feel a very nice, mild trip. Obviously you'd want a nice sized bong rip for a intense trip, but it's all about how you approach it.

yup. theres something i dont like about salvia though, on high intensity trips, it takes control over you, its actually quite awesome and freaky and weird which is great, but to me i dont find it as i dunno, a entheogen to think on for a few hours like shrooms or mescaline, and to open up your mind more. its just a drug that shows you how much fucked up it can be... although mild trips on leaves have been pretty awesome.

so yeh, in other words, i think a salvia experience is too short.

 

It's funny you should say that. I haven't had an intense salvia trip in a while. It got way too real or something. It's not that I'm scared of what's.... back there I guess, I just need more time and experience with some other trips. The loss of control is very hard to deal with, and then the sweating and force fields and not trusting anyone in the room for the next hour or so... it's all so intriguing though.

I think the next step for me with salvia is to get some live plants and do the chewing or the fresh leaves. I hear that's way more mild and drawn out than big hits.

yes, on that i have to fully agree, the effects of disconfort and not trusting are really awesome in a way, not knowing really why the people around you are here, not even knowing yourself or the place youre in... those things are real qualities of salvia.

out of curiosity, what substances have you had the chance to experience in the past?

 

Aside from salvia and ganj... shrooms and lsd. Nothin too special, although I think I've done salvia way more than anyone I know. If you visit the roster page for my college rugby team, my official nick name is king salvia the first. I introduced it to a few guys on the team and they all loved it. I made sure to give them none-too-scary doses though.
