This happened a while ago, so I guess you are probably feeling better now. If that day is the worst day you ever have, you'll be lucky though. As has been said you and she both could have been killed.

Some times it is a gift for things to go wrong, if it makes you realize how much you have to be grateful for. Maybe you and your friend are close now because you have gone through this.
