I remember JUSTINBAILEY. Anyone else? No? It was from the original Metroid. You put that code in and your character was a feminized representation of Samus outfitted with the wave beam.
yeah, but my point is that there aren't really female medieval warriors (that i've seen yet at least), just female witches/sorceresses/etc. which, i would think a magical person like that could make herself look good if she wanted. of course the reason is that mostly guys play this game. but i don't feel like women who can magically manipulate the world being able to make themselves look good is necessarily outside of what would be realistic in such a setting either.
I guess you're right about the warrior thing specifically in the Witcher. It's more about the use of sex and sexy women. It's as i feel often in these fantasy games: modern emancipated society in a dark age setting. I guess im not interested in that kind of medieval fantasy setting Same with for example the possibility in a game like Dragon age to have a socially accepted homosexual relation. I don't have any principal problem with it, but its just that in my mind it doesn't fit the setting. I reckon if I was 6-eyed I definitely connected it to a problematic feminisation of our patriarchal society or something :-D
yeah that's fair. and does further explain your final fantasy aversion; women seem to be at the top of the food chain in a lot of those. i've gotten off that series myself too, although not so much for that reason and just because they seem to have been losing their fun factor lately. i do kind of want to play ff12 again though, i didn't much care for it the first time but then i replayed it a year or two ago and was a big fan of it the combat system once i figured it out a little better.
How do you think most people respond to guys who play female characters? How would you feel if you came across me in say Fallout 76 and you voiced chatted me and you got this redneck guys voice.....what would your first reaction be?
Seriously? I am always afraid it will be like "Damn are you some kind of faggot?" "Get the fuck away from me!!" LMAO!! But I don't care for some reason! I enjoy the game more as a female for some reason!
I do it because I like it better as a female in-game! I do like to look at my character. But that is not the reason alone. I have read that some guys do it to score help or stuff or whatever from sex-crazed nerdniks etc! I am presently interested in Fallout 76 (yes there are some of us who DO like this game) and I often play girl toons in WOW. But I never did this to take advantage of 13 years old for ammo or gold or whatever!
Tomb Raider didn't leave you any choice did it? I CHOOSE to do this. It may seem weird to most, but I like it!
Now that is confusing.... Laura was intended as a very dominant masculine character with the stunning looks of a female. The box office success of the film was largely due to the casting of Angelina Jolie. She is one of the few actresses who could 'pull it off' and she also added to the returns on 'Top Gun'.
I have never seen the game, but Angelina Jolie did a lot for the success of the first film. After that the films went too divorced from any possible reality and the takings generally declined over the months.
