You didn't get this information off your gran did you? Anyhoo, It has intrigued me enough to go look some of it up. Especially: the more iron in the womb, the more outspoken child.
Washington, May 05 (ANI): A new research has shown that lack of iron in the womb could delay the development of auditory nervous system in preemies. This delay could affect babies’ ability to process sound, which is critical for later language development in early childhood. (Researchers at University of Rochester Medical Center) :smilielol5:
I was told by my doctor that's it's more stressfull for the baby to quit all of a sudden then to gradually rule it out. Just because she's a smoker doesn't mean she's a bad person or parent.... so that statement doesn't even make sense. Depends... I think.... every situation is different. You're such an asshole sometimes. I'm sure she was, that's why she was being a bitch, haha. To each their own opinion though.
What that info or the delay in the development of auditory nervous system. It seems to be fairly new research, using 80 kids. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/05/090504151503.htm Not something I would wish to base opinions on... I just found it funny this information is out there. It sounded far too bizzare to me.
Yea, it does. There are a lot of things that seem really odd in the development of a fetus.... In the first few years there are so many things going on in their brain it's rediculous! I've always found it facinating.
That's true. Perhaps by the time bekyboo52 has a child, this will either be debuked or more research will be available. Wouldn't you base your childs development on a bunch of science like this? ....Is "shit" your basic approach to these kinda things?
Have? What, in the cellar again? Damn Brits! Yeah, I totally agree with this. It annoys me when I see parents with young children smoking. If people ignored everything that they didn't think affected them then we wouldn't get anywhere either.
It's not up to you to tell people what they should and should not do, no matter how right you are. Personally, I would not have children unless I could quit smoking for 2 or 3 years prior. I know it was easier for me to pick up smoking because my stepfather smoked around me as a child. That's in the back of my mind in trying to quit now, in case I develop a loving relationship in the medium to long term.
The thing that pisses me off is that mothers get their children taken away at birth if they pop a dirty piss test (for pot) during pregnancy in Texas (well, I think this only applies to those who have the government paying for their healthcare), but a cop can watch a pregnant smoking a cigarette and just walk on past. Smoking period when you're pregnant is a bad idea because you're not just depriving yourself of oxygen and inhaling smoke, you're sending all that shit to your unborn child, but cigarettes are WAY WAY worse than weed. Talk about fucking double standards. But I've never criticized someone for smoking around their children, as that is their choice and their decision to live with. If Daniel still smokes by the time our first little one comes around, I'll expect him to take it outside, though.
this is a very immature action. To smoke with the clear state of mind that you are probably going to harm you`r unborn baby. It is selfish to me, thinking about you`r needs and disregarding the ones of your child. but i can understand how hard is it not to smoke, tobacco is one of the most addicitve things ever
i hand out cigarettes to pregnant women and mothers with small children it really is hard to afford both diapers and cigarettes so when i see a woman smoking i admire her ability to take care of both amenities
Apparently lots of young mums in particular smoke during pregnancy because they think it'll keep their babies smaller and thus, the birth will be easier.
maybe the mothers are thinking ahead for thier babies futures, if they're small they won't have eating disorders
