This one's even more dangerous, but it would be fun. 60-70mile range, 7000₤, and electric so it basically costs nothing to drive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szN3bLF1oP4"]Renault Twizy electric car video review - YouTube
Costs Nothing To Drive.... I Don't Know Where You Live, But Electricity Here Costs Dollars.... Cheers Glen.
In The Last Three Years, My Electricity Bill Has Increased By More Than 300%.... My Units Used Remain Approx The Same, Just The Ever Increasing Cost Of The Units Is Causing My Pain.... Cheers Glen.
I don't get all tho smart car hate. I like all sorts of vehicles..... I drive a wannabe sports car with a few snap on extra wannabe horsepower, and have great fun. I would love a little pickup. Muscle cars are cool. There's even vans that are pretty sexy. Of course, there's cars that make me want to puke in all these categories. Smart cars will be more dangerous because of their size, that's how physics works.... You slow down faster and have less crumple room, so if you hit something bigger, yeah, you WILL come out on the losing side..... But the fact is that driving is enormously dangerous, and most people drive so horribly that it's much more so than it must be. If you drive defensively, carefully, and slowly, as anyone driving a smart car should be anyways, you should be fine. It's not a freeway car, and it's not a car for playing chicken in. My main issue with the smart car is the annoying and presumptuous name. It's not that efficient, and could be. But that bothers me about ALL cars-we had mini cars that could do 50mpg over a half century ago, and now 36 is good.... wtf? We threw it out for heated seats and extra plastic shit. We need to stop trying to make pretend economy cars that have just enough pickup to feel like they should have more so that junior can feel cool when he can ALMOST slip one tire. And fucktards need to stop buying unsafe inefficient automatic transmissions for applications that don't need it. I just heard a thing about sticky accelerators on fords from a LONG time-span on the radio.... Don't matter if ya got a stick, ehh? So: If you want efficiency get a corolla from 94-7 with the smallest engine you can find, and a MANUAL transmission, or something like that. Will be small and manoeuvrable, safe, efficient, and fun to drive in an old people kind of way. Or a current yaris (It's a CAR!). Smart is a gimmick, but it's not the size, it's the fake efficiency, that's the problem. And the shitty styling. You can make a sexy little car, they just failed.
i looked close at those tiny three nuts that hold on the rims on the smart cars and i thought "thats not very smart" Id rather have a classic 50's fiat 500...or even maybe one of those new litttle fiats theyre making now
All good info. My mom drives a corolla, and she abuses the hell out of her cars. They really do live forever.
