the point was, you don't have to walk TO somewhere. if you wanted to get in better shape by walking, i absolutely guarantee that you could do so. but you clearly just want to make excuses instead.

i was talking about our generally unhealthy lifestyles today. meaning the little things we do or don't do everyday that can contribute to obesity. people weren't fat back in our grandparents' day because they were walking for transportation and they weren't eating or guzzling high fructose corn syrup at every meal. of course someone can plan to walk just for exercise, but that wasn't what i meant. my point was that thanks to everyone having a car and the crappy food we eat, we as a nation have become soft. i'm not making excuses for anyone.

A sad truth of society is that fat people are looked down on.:( sad... Man have a cure for this though from my observations and experience if you don't want to loose weight.
The cure is: make a shit load of money, have a funny personality, and have interests other then the couch. And no a relationship should not define your life!

I was fat and got tired of it when my belly started hanging over my pants. So I exercised, learned what to eat, started cooking some real food, and lost over 30 pounds of fat. Worked for me.

And they should be looked down upon

Or at least until they’re the vast majority and then we fit n' trim folks will be the butt of jokes

    Nice:D

I do understand not everybody is built the same but if something truly makes you unhappy you should not simply complain about it but work towards changing it. If your going to be fat accept it and be happily fat with yourself.:D

The only one who decided you are a worthless, bad person who is not worthy of love or affection is yourself. You can't tell me that you're not in love with this attitude. You don't want the help, you want the attention. Well you're getting it. If you kill yourself, then I guess c-ya later, but if you decide to take action and stop blaming things on diseases, maybe you'll get somewhere. Even people who have been so fat they were bed bound have had lost over 500 pounds. Also, the mistake you are making about relationships is believing that they will somehow complete you, nah. It isn't sunshine and rainbow with all couples, get real. You'll just find something new to bitch about.

fair enough, can't really argue with that.

you have to admit though, that's not really what you said in your first post even if it is what you meant. so no one was "being an asshole for no reason," although there may have been some miscommunication involved.

still, anyone who wants to lose weight can do so; it's not like modern society doesn't allow it or anything like that.

Yeah calling obesity a disease.. it's like a scape goat for laziness. Anybody can transform their lives, especially if the problem is one of obesity. I personally lost 60 pounds myself and I used to have a very submissive and shitty attitude not much different than that seen in the OP. It can be done, but like most things that are difficult, we hesitate and put off what we think can be done tomorrow until eventually another year passes and we haven't moved a step. I used to blame shit on big bones and slow metabolisms, nah, what I should of blamed things on was my inability to take immediate action rather than wallowing.

How to lose weight? Go to the gym. Drink diet soda instead of non-diet. Drink bottled water as much as you can instead of diet soda. Eat healthy. Eliminate snacks, especially ones that are of higher fat calories versus calories. Still need a snack? Find a fruit. Eliminate using food as a substitute for boredom. Eat lien meals. Don't eat seconds. Restrict your calorie in-take to the Daily recommend allowance. 2000 calories. Move more when you can.

How to initiate a relationship? Project some characteristics that aren't so self-loathing and negative. The woman who loves you most cares not much more about your outside than you do hers. That's not what counts. And if the inside in this case is what counts, why would they want what you display now? Would you want to fall in love with a person who would take their lives at any given moment despite you?

Tis very true :) I have a two year old, and after having him I gained some more weight than I wanted, but after I ended a horrible unhealthy relationship with my ex a year ago, I have lost 70 lbs and counting and I think I look freakin sexy as ever everything is a work in progress, it all just takes time and patience :)
