Ok, well, I saw that film, The Bridge that you talked about last night. It was... Uneasy to watch all those people going about their daily business and not giving a crud about the people who are there to end their lives. It's very sad. I know that many people can argue that it is not their place to interfere and they'd only end up doing it somewhere else. But, from some of the jumpers body language it seemed like they wanted a stranger to reach out to them. The lack of compassion is astounding in the film.

 

I tried to watch it again last night, but got really bored of the dull family commentary since they never get to the action so I turned it off and instead watched clips of people committing suicide on live TV.

Budd Dwyer's is a true classic.

Yeah I did find the families comments boring. The girl Lisa, I thought it was sad that her mum and sister might as well have been talking about the suicide of a neighbour they spoje to on occassion. It felt like they were glad to she was gone. Glenn's suicide really moved me. I don't know whether it's because he resembles my husband that I felt like that but yeah.
