Bird migration
without hesitation
A V
in the sky
where we die
a thousand bird migrations
past the summit
where we plummet
all our belongings
into a black hole
in the ground

 

Behold! beware!
don't speak, just stare
don't look up, look down
don't hysterically frown

Saw the movement in the grass?
wonder what that was
I saw it moving towards the lake
could it be a...

squirrel?

 

that warmed my soul. i want to shower you in smooches.

Heavenly blessed and
well respected
loved and hugged
in virtual ways

Touched by wonder
wandering endless
through the unknow sea

a hug, a kiss
an unexpected
squawk

 

once upon a lonely time
in ancient days of yore
there was a bard named bird
who preached a certain breed of lore

and indeed i say this man
was hard not to adore
until one day he broke my heart
and ran off with a whore

Penny, Penny, poetry
will never do you justice
your loveliness and
liveliness
reach far beyond this world

I ask not much
but just this time
I am in need of change
for love costs little
yet all I have is a Penny short

with folded legs
bring forth a new

as throwing stars
and blunt as
wise man's ax

A game, unplayed
stories untold
caterpillar inside
may come out
as butterfly
