@ the cherea comment I think the fact that Zimmerman was following a woman would come into play more. Maybe not in a court of law, but definitely with public opinion and perception.
I feel sorry for Trayvon Martins family losing their son. I think there should be some kind of law to take away George Zimmerman's gun, maybe something about civil rights since their was probably prejudiced involved. I do not want another policeman wannabe to make the same mistake and kill another innocent child. Although this case sure has had way a lot of publicity. There should be some kind of new law to make our children safer against mistakes .
What I don't get was there was a white teenager, who was the victim of racial bullying in kansas city. The school system did nothing about it, he was often beaten up, and then one day when walking home, once he got to his door, two black kids from his school took gasoline and set him on fire and said "this is what you get for being white" Yet they have "not found the suspects" Where is the media outrage for this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_xG2dIX6n4 Is this not a hate crime?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csvlHXJ_pk4 Such racism shouldn't be tolerated its a two way fucking street brothers and sisters
I think a big chunk of the public has profiled Zimmerman. However, if the above things were said that would be another kind of profiling too. I wish we, as a people, were smarter than all this.
Anyone catch the story about "super hero George Zimmerman"? Saving lives on Alligator Alley after the trial. Do us all a favor google , read and submit to Al , Jesse , barry and all other "race master baiters".
One thing that will never be known. Just what did Zimmerman say to Martin as he approached?? Was it something like= "excuse me sir--if you don't mind--may I ask what you're doing in this neighborhood. Or could it have been something else? Maybe --"hold it right there ,punk. Let's see some ID. Or worse yet---Stop right there nig**r! Who knows how the initial contact went. Zimmerman was pissed because " they always get away with --", whatever it was he meant. And Martin was pissed because a stranger was following him for what reason?? Bad scene, but we'll never know.
I wish we could to, i think though slowly we are getting that way. I think with every generation people are waking up and beginning to see the pointlessness of bigotry
we don't know if GZ said anything to TM, or that he approached him any further after he hung up the phone. maybe, but there's no evidence.
Just an aside here: When I called 911 last night about some viscous dogs, the operator asked me "What's the location of your emergency?" "What's going on?" "What kind of dogs?" I assume most 911 dispatch has the same rote questions...so they do ask for the description of entities involved.
I do hope you are okay, what did you or they do about the dogs? I do think that this proves they do ask the description of the entities
Very interesting question!! I think there wouldn't be this chaos going on right now over it. If he had been a woman there would be no controversy at all, even given the nature of how it went down.
