If I started with the crochet method......could I then give it up?

    ....I'd rather wait for the loose hair to form their own dreads which they are doing already.

    I started with crochet and then stopped, mostly because I got lazy and I like the loops. I dont like "perfect" dreads and prefer the loops, so I just left them alone. I must say tho, I dont see anything wrong with crocheting them. Most of the tutorials I see have you pull the loose hair all the way THROUGH the dread, which I think causes the breakage that people talk about all the time. I never did that, and I never expierenced any of that. I pulled it into the dread, and was sure to get the super-super-super tiny hook that I was using completely free of hair before pulling it out of my dreads, to avoid any rippage.
