i think the whole point of marilyn's continuing icon status is that for many of us, she was NEVER out of fashion. but that's what you get when "fashion" is developed by women hating men with a fetish for ten year old boys.

 

I heard somewhere that plump is still attractive because it seems like well fed and that means money which is why its okay but to be overweight its a "sign of weakness" or no self control or some rubbish. idk...

 

That's certainly true in some African countries. Fat women can be considered more attractive because it means they are wealthy enough to eat well and also it's thought that they don't have AIDS. In the developed countries, where anti-retroviral drugs allow people with HIV to live healthy lives and where it is more often the poor who are fat and not the rich, I don't think that would be the case. It just shows how these aesthetic judgements are as much to do with culture than any objective standard of beauty....

 

i think we all have such diverse opinions on what's attractive because of some evolutionary need to balance each other out. i usually see super thin guys being attractive to plump (not fat) women. it's always been my allure. i like plump women because, frankly, i'm a female and all my personal preferences in females are egocentric. i want to have sex with someone who looks like me, in a good way.

 

Liz Hurley looks like a sack of potatoes unless she has got makeup on anyway so whats she on about - hurley is all makeup and photographic airbrush

 

i could stay that think if i lived on a diet prepared meals, hard liquor and prescription drugs. i've totally done it before.

Being fat is no big deal. People try and make you out to be hidious. In reality they are just jealous.

it's the perfect statement. you can't defend your stance against "you're just jealous." not really. because all that does is put you on the defensive and solidify your petty jealousy to your accuser.
