SE you must know a type or crackhead never before known to man. you should document your experiences for the scientific community to explore. they may even let you name the species Soaringeagleimus crackitonia or something
wait... so let me get this straight... you moved into the hood, picked up everyone's used needles and condoms, hosted a talent show for the crack heads (this sounds very amusing btw), somebody gave you 200 pounds of cheese... then the crack dealers moved out of the area out of respect for you and your hand drums. and so you planted a garden and all the crackheads helped you so you could show movies at night? and you turned a neighborhood of hoodie crack heads into a peace loving, food-sharing rainbow community? am i getting all this right? if so, thats pretty epic
Could be up for that, yeh. I'll be poking around seeing what's on the bookshelf anyway. See you over there.
in the past month ive read The Giver, Gathering Blue, Children of Men, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Im currently reading I Am Not Myself These Days, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Songs of the Doomed. ill check out that link in a sec. :cheers2:
children of men the book is ten billion times greater than children of men the movie. that movie sucked cock, even though clive owen was in it. and i was so stoked for it, having read the book twice.
it was a bit of a drag at first, but it really picked up when he visits the quietus. the whole falling in love with the pregnant woman was silly, though. it was too sudden and wholly unnecessary. overall id give it 8.5 out of a possible 10 unborn children
Nice. I just finished 'Angels and Demons.' It had some pretty interesting stuff about Religion Vs. Science. Has anyone here read "Conversations with God." That is some thought provoking stuff...
It's a better read than the DaVinci Code, he wrote 'A & D' first. I'm a bit biased, though, because it explores Art, religion and physics, my three favorite subjects. Definitely worth a look. I know its out on DVD soon, and I hate to see a movie before I read the book.
I picked up that book a few weeks ago on a friends recommendation...I used to be a big reader, but that just sort of died in me. I think this book was an easy read, I only got about halfway through it (I started it in the car, and when I arrived to my destination never picked it up again) which took me about two hours. I might finish it today, now that I think of it =] She also recommended 1984 (which is proving to be an excellent book) and American Psycho. The only movie I've seen out of those is American Psycho, Christian Bale was great in it =] Aren't they making a new 1984 movie? I swear I heard that somewhere, but can't remember anything about it....
I want to read american psycho but my library only has it in Spanish. I may buy it online somewhere though. I tried reading children of men but it bore me, and I really liked the movie.
I'm sure you could find American Psycho for free, using torrents to download it. It is a pretty crazy book...Its like the movie x100.
I want to read American Psycho. My friend's going to lend me Virgin Suicides. Right now I just started Atlas Shrugged by Rand and it's good but somewhat daunting because of its length. I really want to read Ulysses. I'm reading Robert Anton Wilson and he raves about Joyce, I know I'm going to read it someday soon, but goddamn it's a hefty read. I also really want to reread Crime and Punishment.
this beer is making me see foam party. they are hilarious. i was at one couple years ago. one of the local pubs just fucked fairy liquid into this big 'foam tube' and shot it all around the pub like a ginormous cock. I had a sore throat for a week after from laughing so hard and breathing in so much suds.
If this forum were a party I would not be talking books unless I was tryin to get into some smart bitch's pants.
