yep, if you examine the goddess religions of the time, there were many serpents laying about, with their obvious phallic implications and regenerative (new skin) powers....also, anthropologists consider it highly likely that women, being the gatherers by a great majority were probably the ones who discovered how agriculture would work, since they were the ones gathering, preparing and disposing of the food while the men sharpened their weapons. i guess a world where they have to work hard EVERY dayfor some planted food, as opposed to weekly for a large game animal would be considered a casting out of paradise, though i wonder how badly the women really felt about that...and the pain we experience in childbirth some from our head to pelvis ratio. the larger the head, the more painful and difficult the birth, right? so you could say that an increase in knowledge and intelligence WOULD make for a just punishment to the sisters of eve...

as for even being just as capable of using a shovel and such, well, of course she is. she just happened to already have a TON of work to do, whereas adam...hm...that's his deal.

 

Soaring Eagle, what's going on in your head? You know that every person has their own personality and that men and women can both be on both sides of the guns vs butter debate. You say so specificaly, actually. But you also attach all of the negative things to men, and all of the possitive things to women. I supose that in order to make it all line up right, you consider a man who happens to not be an asshole "feminine", while a woman who happens to be one is "masculine", right?

 

OMG! I normally like Soaringeagles point as they come over with a depth of experience and humanity that is enviable, but MATE! what is happening to your brain on this thread??? There are clear reasons why women don't rule, #1 being that they change their minds every two seconds and can never be pleased. They ALWAYS want what they can't have, when they have it, they don't want it, whatever the subject matter.

I can't say I'm a huge Tom Lykis (sp?) but I'm glad his voice is out there for all the unsuspecting adolescent males that yet have to be constantly fucked over by the female of the species.

Thanks mynameisskc. Being in OC totally distorts ones views on women. I actually have three wonderful sisters (and eight nephews and nieces now) as well as being close with my mother, so I know there are great women out there. Sadly just none in the OC! I also got dumped at the weekend by my live-in girlfriend of two years by text message! Can you believe that?? So I have to admit that I'm fairly jaded right now. The baggage is piling high and there ain't no handler to be seen for miles....... I'll be better in about a month's time Peace.
