myself, in one of my previous lives, preferably those which took place on a world i refer to as lananara.

at any rate, i'm talking about real physical worlds circling other real physical suns in this universe or one very much like it.

worlds on which people do not hate logic nor equate thoughtlessness with freedom.

worlds on which people did not destroy the forest, or learned how to stop doing so and let them grow back.

worlds on which, if people made dumb mistakes, they were not the same dumb mistakes that are popular to make on this one.

worlds on which people did not believe people were the center and be all reason for the rest of the universe to exist.

Mananara River Valley? How did you come up with Iananara, I don't understand.

i didn't "come up with it"

i didn't "come up with it", at least not consciously. unless you want to say i came up with it by trying to avoid doing so.

think about a little bit, people evolved on a world you're not familiar with, who don't even look anything like you, anything you even think of as people looking like,
think about languages evolving through motivations you can't even begin to imagine, then think about those people, what they would call their world.

it could be anything. but any resemblance to anything familiar to yourself, would be complete and improbable coincidence.

Oh. That sounds like an interesting episode of the Twilight Zone, the ones that actually turn out good for once, where you're able to relate to a world completely devoid of Earth's drama; sit back and cherish the abstract. Let me ask you a question, if you were magically transported to Iananara how long could you last knowing both worlds: Earth and Iananara? Wouldn't this place drive you insane?

you know that saying about using 10 to 15% of your brain, you would just have to use 20 to 30%. no insanity needed.

no more so then this earth is doing. sanity means not tripping over your emotional shoe strings. has nothing to do with anyone's preconceived notions of normality.
every previous and future life, is that kind of much of difference from each other. that is what i believe in.

science(engineering, technology, art)"fiction" is closer to reality, then any religious belief. though certainly completely nonphysical things my exist and even love us and each other too.

our earth and our species, are as cool (and otherwise) as any other, but not, in any slightest way, more central, important, or 'special'.

@ peng: We actually use 100% of our brain, just not all at once. The 10% comes from the amount of neuron function, and doesn't count the other little squiggly things that help neurons. Are you telling me Iananara is carried by the squiggly? Is themnax Lord Sqiggs?

the universe is "squiggly". the only reason anyone ever started thinking rectangles were cool, was the novelty of them.
the considerable skill and effort it took to make anything that looked like them, before the invention of things like dimensional lumber.

i think most humans would go instantly nuts. at first you'd have no idea where you were, and next you'd realize you didn't have anything to breathe. if you survived the next instant, by realizing you didn't need to, that would start to be ok. but then you'd have to pretty quick dream up someplace to be. only to next realize, anyplace you dreamed up to be, would still be someplace you dreamed up. except of course you wouldn't be in this universe because ours doesn't work that way. but maybe you could find some way to visit it, or one like it. maybe all you'd have to do is imagine doing so. the next problem is how well are you able to control your imagination, if everything you imagine becomes real by doing so the instant you do.

Dude, I’m a quick study and it wouldn’t take long to assess who I am, where I am, and the resources ( God-like powers) I have at my disposal

great. but how do you feel about the realization, that wherever you are, everything is something you dreamed up? and do you really have enough control over your imagination to not screw it up?
unless of course you're just one god among many? second life with everyone in one big sim. or the q continuum.

not saying i would have any problem with either of those possibilities.

  15. I would be Walt Disney, and I'd get myself on the news and say that I'd been unfrozen.

that would be hilariously confusing. this guy that's been alive all along just shows up and says "hey, i'm suddenly unfrozen."

anyone you never heard of, dispite being imaginative and creative, because their lives escaped being touched by the tragedies of their times.

pretty much anyone even i could name, well i don't think any name we might very many of us know, is very likely to have qualified.

pretty much no heroes, villans or big names of any other kind.
