Well considering how old you are now, mabey in the future you could freeze yourself like they did in austin powers or futurama to actually live that long. That would be weird though.

I would rather not live the regular "life span"...but only if I could snort lines all day to my heart's desire and then die around 20 yrs. That would be enough for me. :)

Sickening huh? Not really. The truth.

Yeah i agree with you distant lover i wish i could do that. I don't mind that dying would be scarier because living is all that is important anyways, and i would be very greatful that i got to live longer than everyone else.

Hmm mabey sickening in others perspective, but i say almost everyone should do whatever makes them happiest :) If you don't wanna die that early, than to be you're happiest you have to work and shit and then you can savor it. If the thought of death makes you happy, well it's your world.

IMHO dying is just as important as living, I only want a normal lifespan because I feel that it is important to go forward in the great movement of things rather than getting hung up on 1 stage of existance. It just feels right to die, eventually at least, I can imagine a huge weight being lifted in death.

I get what you mean, but i'm like 99% sure that you can't possibly exist after you die. And existing just feels right. So i would want to live as long as possible. I voted for the 300-400 years because of the weight being lifted. But i am having second thoughts. I would change my pick to the last one mabey, altough i seriously am considering immortal. I can't imagine the weight never being lifted, but i also can't imagine the reality of never existing again. So if i had actual knowledge if the secret of life 'is there life after death" If it is true that we cease to exist forever, than yes i would choose to be immortal. If there is "something" that will always go on after death than i would want to die eventually than. I mean humans actually rule the world that we live on, we have it perfect i cannot imagine what other being would be better to live as. Even if there were beings that had bigger advantages than us, than what are the chances of reincarnating into one of them? The chances point to non existance.

i think i could happily settle for around a hundred and fifty, but i wouldn't really mind imortality. the important thing either way would be whether or not i could keep creating and exploring. that's what counts. more then mere quantity of years. it would be nice to be able to witness chainges that take longer then one human lifetime currently.

i would like to see birthrate drasticly lowered though, to reverse the devistating effects of there being too many of us as there already are though.

because we keep living longer is whey there's so many too many of us now. but i would want to live longer then i'm currently expecting to.

i'd like to see this world in say, another 100-300 years from now, when the oil has 'run out' and the famines have come and gone, and life has settled back down to a mostly recouvered nature, tecnology not based on combustion, lots of ruins to explore, not so many people arround to really prevent you from doing so.

i don't KNOW what kind of a paradise that will be or could be or if it will, but it's what i'd like to live to see anyway. lots of little trains and few if any building codes, and a lot of the silly stupid idiological and other prejudices so often mistaken for civilization now, long forgotten.

just to see what there will be even a hundred years from now. because i know, most of what is going on right now, isn't going to be able to last that long, and whatever IS going to replace it, well, i'm nothing if not curious.

If i could i would be immortal. This is what I voted for.
Though I might regret it, and wish I was mortal afterwards...

Immortality would be great... well perhaps living 10 000 years would be better. But Imagine! You would get to see the evolution of the world in 10 000 years! You could explore the world in it s totallity!

honestly right now i would want to live forever. the fear of death is really my ownly true fear, and as im not sure whats gonna happen when i die (no one is, so stop pretending u do) and im perfectly content with living so death is something im majorly not looking forward to.

Yeah i am not only content with living, but i am completely happy and love life because humans have it best off, they understand everything, and can do whatever they want. But my conscious tells me that when you die, you will no longer exist at all. Not existing is my hell, i love existing more than anything . All of this is always in the back of my mind and i really hate it.

Id want to live for 1000-10000 years... Long enough to see the world change in ways i could never imagine, but still know that i could die as an old man, happy with the life i had lived. Immortality would suck though. Can you imagine what it would be like if you got trapped somewhere? or ended up in space just drifting... I'd want to live as long as i could, but still have death to fear.
